It's been a year and I haven't been able to write you on here yet. But I want you to know I love you and miss you soo much. Not a day goes by that you are not with me. I find my self asking questions wishing you were hear to answer them, then I think and I always hear your voice and know exactly what your answer is. I hope I grow up into the man you are. I strive everyday to make you proud, I know I let you down sometimes but I always pick myself up and push forward. You will always be my drive and voice of reason. I will always love and remember you. I love you dad.

Although we hadn't seen each other in years, I'll never forget Bernie's larger than life personality and how he always made everyone laugh. I always looked forward to my visits, not knowing what kind of craziness awaited when we all got together. Thinking of him still makes me smile. I'm thankful that he was a part of my life and I will always cherish the memories.

I first met Bernie in 1985 when I moved to Florida from NYC he was in the process of opening a wings type pub called Melons. Bernie was always an upbeat live life to the fullest guy and I wish I could of spent more time with him. R.I.P. Bernie. John Barone.

What can I say, You certainly lived your life on your terms and you didn't shy away from a challenge (you married Joni). I loved you the moment I met you, It's not often you find another adult who who can mirror your own immaturity. I say that jokingly as you and I have both spent a good bit of time irritating those around us with our childish ways. Of course there was the Loving father, Devoted husband and the uncompromising Professional; You made a lot of peole very sad with your passing and I'm sure those in the next life are getting an earful of stories. You are and have been an important part of many lives and you will not be forgotten. I love you buddy.

Deepest sympathy for your loss. May you feel blessed to have had such a generous spirited person be apart of your lives. And may the pleasant memories overshadow the difficult times and make your heart smile at moments of sadness.

I talked with Bernie a couple years ago and he was telling me how he was battleing his health and that he would keep doing so as he kept moving along until he was no longer with us. He told me how he walked around business to business to promote his, with cane in hand and the only thing that would stop him would be this. I'm proud to have known him and his off spring. His strength and determination is something sort of rare and he was a true soldier is his life and he will live on in the spirit of his loved ones. The only thing I wish different is to have been able to spend more time with such a Heroic personality. We all need a bit of him in us, as life is hard and sometimes we let it get us down, but he didn't. He kept going until God decided he needed the brake. He will watch out over us and we better start and or continue to be strong(er) for him. I think thats what he'd want.

I worked with Bernie for many years at Morton Plant Hospital. He was a hard worker and He also loved to tell you stories of all his adventures. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time.
