My sincere sympathy goes out to you at this sad time. It is said, that, one of the most difficult hardships in life is to deal with the death of a loved one, especially a child. Therefore, I encourage you to take comfort in knowing that God is there for you and cares for you. - He invites you to come to him: (Jeremiah 29:12) . . .And YOU will certainly call me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to YOU. . .

To Trevon's parents,

I live in Fort Morgan where my husband and I teach in the public schools. Whether you know us or not, we are available to you and to your family if you need support from someone who fully understands your grief.

We also lost a baby shortly after birth almost 7 years ago. She was born with what the doctor's called a "fatal birth defect." She lived for only 40 minutes...the most beautiful moments of our lives.

First and foremost, I want to recommend a book to you, "Empty Cradle, Broken Heart." As Treyvon's birth mother, you will discover that few understand how deeply you feel the loss after carrying your baby for so long. Also, I would like to recommend that you and the baby's father seek immediate counseling. Unfortunately, psychological treatments have such a negative stereotype attached. I want you to know you are not weak for seeking help in the coming months and years.

I am VERY sorry for your loss. Treyvon was a beautiful baby! God bless you, and may He hold Treyvon in His loving arms! "Let the children come unto me. Do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of Heaven."

Sincerely, Jennifer Stream
