James A. Eiring, 53, passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2018 in a farming accident. Jim was born in Santa Ana, CA on January 19, 1965 to Robert Eiring & Mary Ann (Eiring) Wiley. The family moved to Colorado where his father started farming and ranching. Jim grew up in Weldona, Wiggins, and Fort Morgan. He graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 1983. Jim farmed with his father and also pursued auto body, mechanics, and welding. He moved to Nebraska and Minnesota for a career in the welding industry and later returned to Fort Morgan in 2016 to help care for his mother, Mary Ann. Jim loved the outdoors. The mountains were his favorite place to be, especially if there was a fishing pole in his hand. Jim loved his friends. Pastor David & Diane Radke of Kansas were very supportive of Jim. His best friend, Bernie Pagel was always there for him no matter the situation. Jim is survived by his stepfather and mother, Keith & Mary Ann Wiley; brother, Bob Eiring Jr.; brother-in-law and sister, Dan & Cher (Eiring) Eberly and their son, Blake Gettman; his niece, Sara (Eiring) Chase, her husband, Shannon and their three children; his son-in-law and daughter, Aaron & Shelly (Eiring) Crum and their three children; his son, Marshall Eiring; and his stepson, Brandon Rexroat. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Eiring Sr.; his maternal grandparents, James & Penney Winn; his paternal grandparents, August & Rachel Eiring; his sister, Amanda Eiring; and his niece, Reagan Chase. Jim will be laid to rest in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Fort Morgan next to his father. A memorial service will be Wednesday, May 16th at 10:00 AM at the United Presbyterian Church in Fort Morgan. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Jim in care of Heer Mortuary, 225 E. Platte Ave., Fort Morgan, CO 80701.
