Beano was on a very select list of people whom I would stay in the car to listen to after I reached my destination. I couldn't get enough of Beano's insight and humor.
To the Friends of Beano
Beano was a friend of mine growing up in Chatham Village. Some of the times I spent with Beano will go unmentioned. These are special memories which preceded his rise to a successful career. There are several of us who will remember these times and only share them with friends from long ago. Memories which will live until we meet again.
Rest in peace Beano.

Listening to Beano locally and nationally always made me feel proud I also was from Pittsburgh!!
Beano made me interested in whatever sport he was describing. He was one of a kind.
RIP my friend. You always put a smile on my face.
A sad day for us all.....I knew Beano from due to my fathers(Frank Carver, AD Pitt) relationship with him...always loved to see and talk to Beano...his mothers cheescake at Christmas....RIP Beano
A great football mind gone. You are missed already Mel Butler
The best Pittsburgh-area sports person EVER. Beano had the rare talent of being extremely loyal without being a homer. Prayers to his friends and family.
