Dunc:
You added so much to our Corps' illustrious history with your down to earth, common sense leadership. The "green side out, brown side out " wisdom and many more examples like it captured so many of our daily life experiences as Marines. Keep our Marines vigilant up there!
Semper Fidelis, John Schmidt, Colonel, USMC (Ret)

I KNOW the Duncan family now realizes just how special their Dad and Grandpa was/is to thousands of Marines and others worldwide. 24 pages of memorial messages and more to come, I'm sure. The funeral in Quantico on the 28th to celebrate ths Marines life should be an awesome event. So long, my Friend.

I had the honor of meeting the Major on two different occasions. Both times were spent listening to his wisdom and wit at great length. You will be missed sir.

About 5 years ago, my family and I had the pleasure of randomly meeting Major Duncan. In that short time, he became a great mentor and teacher. His love and dedication to the Marine Corps, was one of the driving reasons I became a Marine.

Thank you for the great example you set, and the many hours you spent with me telling stories, giving advice.

Semper Fi
