I remember listening to Andy Williams while I laid in bed and my parents had "moon river" either on the record player or on the tv. Then every Christmas time I'd love to watch the Christmas specials. Such lovely memories. I still love Moon River, 50+ yrs later.

I had a weird dream a few years back, In my dreams some guy I know quite well was sereneding me and I remember thinking (in my dream) that this guy had the most beautiful voice I have ever heard. I woke up and realized I was listening to Andy Williams singing "White Christmas"...my soul hangs on to this dream. It is a very happy memory for me. :)RIP Beautiful Voice of my Dreams.

Dear Andy, I have been in love with you since I was 10 years old. I always joked with my friends that I would have married you but unfortunately you didn't know I existed. I had a dream come true when I had the opportunity to see you perform in Portland , Maine. I went up to the stage during your finale, waving a glossy photograph of you that I had purchased at the show. a nice older man placed his hand on my back and pushed me toward the stage saying "go ahead he knows what you want". Then an employee sternly informed me, "Mr. Williams isn't signing any autographs". I was crushed for the moment but determined. After the show I nearly knocked down 4 elderly people with walkers to find where you might be exiting the building. just kidding about the walkers. When I went to a rear door a young employee of the Civic Center asked if I wanted to go in and without hesitation I waited inside hoping to get a glimpse of you. It seemed like forever standing there shaking with my photo in hand, then I saw you come down a set of stairs with 3 tall men around you and said "Mr. Williams, Mr. Williams, would you please sign this for me ?" As you where autographing the picture I squeezed your arm and said "you have no idea how much this means to me". My father later joked that he hoped I didn't bruise your arm. That photo has been lost, but the memory of that moment will live with me forever. I was born in 1961 so when my friends where listening to AC/DC and Kiss and I was listening to you....well you can imagine. You were a legend to me and the rest of the world. May you now rest in peace. I can hear your voice in heaven. My wish for your family is inner peace and solace in knowing how much you are loved.

I am 52 and have been listening to Andy Williams since I was a teenager.
My dream in life was to see him in person. In Nov. of 2010 some friends and I took a bus trip to Branson to see Mr. Williams perform at his Moon River Theater. It was all that I imagined it would be. Thanks Mr. Williams for all the great memories. Rest in peace.

My earliest Christmas memories include watching your TV specials, which I looked forward to each year. I loved everything about those specials--your daughter, Noelle, is just a little younger than me, and I felt like we were growing up together. I loved seeing your entire family every year, and I especially loved hearing you sing with your brothers. My heart and deepest condolences go out to your entire family. You will always be a "Dear Heart" to me. Rest in peace.

I fell in love with you age 12 when all the other kids were into The Who and Led Zepplin. You were the same age as my Mum.I was lucky enough to see perform you in England twice. You were a massive part of my formative years.I was so shocked and sad and felt a real tangable sense of loss when you died. You leave behind you so many happy memories - your shows, your magical voice, and gentle nature. RIP lovely Andy Williams.
