A wonderful human being. Kind, caring and compassionate. He always had time for you. A gentleman in the truest sense. Everyone who knew him was blessed for it.

Father Don I knew as Donnie in my relationship with him as a niece. He had a special place in my heart and soul. He helped me with college struggles as a student in Michigan. He officiated our wedding in Bethel, Maine. He was a support in my spiritual growth and a guide In my conversion to Catholicism. He was like a brother to my mother Barbara and a son to my grandmother Josephine. I can hear his laugh right now-the same laugh his father had!! A well educated & sweet man. May he be at rest in the Love of our Savior. I'll keep him in my prayers.

The family of Donald McAllister have my condolences during this difficult time. May you find comfort in the assurance at 2 Thessalonians 3:16 that the Lord of peace himself can provide you with just what you need to cope with your loss of Donald.

Father Don was the Assistant Parish Priest at Saint Mary and my daughters were altar servers when they learned that he loves popcorn balls, so I made him some. Few days later I was told by the girls that the popcorn balls were eaten by mice and so I made him a second batch and presented it to him saying "I can not imagine mice in this place, but make sure they know this is for you only." With a big grin, shifting his eyes to the my daughters and me, he said, " I am going to make sure they know that." By that time the girls were laughing and he have a boyish naughty smile. I found out later on through my husband that I was tricked, and so every time I make the popcorn balls for him we rehash the mice joke.

To my family, to our decade long Woman's Bible Study group, he was one of God's great gift to mankind. We
cherish and keep his memories in our heart. We will greatly missed him, but he is home now, and well received.

My Family will remember Father Don at my daughter's Baptism prior to her heart operation at Mercy Hospital, Portland. His smile and sense of humor filled the room! Rest in Peace, Father Don!

One of my dearest friends and confidante. Such a kind and gentle man. I will always treasure our "outings" with Fr. Fritz and your other priest friends, and your incessant request at every restaurant for duck l'orange!
