Love you forver, Phil Everly
Condolances to the Everly family, Phil will be missed by all who ever heard him sing. May he rest in peace.
To Phil Everly,
You and your brother Don were very talented entertainers. I really enjoyed your songs Bye Bye - Love, and Wake up little Susie. My prayers go to your family. I will never forget you and your brother Don. Lisa Weiner
Will always be missed love you Phil
I signed this guest book before, but I don't think I expressed my love for Don and Phil enough. The Everly's, in my opinion, are the best singers in the world! I love Phil and Don with all my heart, and I still cry over Phil's demise on Jan. 3, 2014. It is just too painful - I can't even imagine what his poor wife, children, grandchildren and precious partner and brother Don are going through. My deepest and heartfelt sympathies to them all. They are hurting, I am hurting and most of the world is hurting also at the tragic loss of our beautiful and wonderful Phil. May he be gloriously at peace in heaven. I hope to see you there some day. You and Don gave us so much...I love you both forever.
This was truly an amazing person with so much talent the loss is clearly ours. Prayers fill our hearts while singing praises to God asking him to let us never forget the love we have for this wonderful person gone from our lives never forgetting the joy we shared experiencing a great talent. Hebrews 6:10.
Dear Everly Family, you have my deepest condolences. May God be with you to bring you comfort and peace through this time. He promises us at Isa. 61:2 & 25: 8 he will actually do away with death forever and certainly wipe the tears from all faces.
The last time I saw the Everly Brothers was in August 2001 at the American Music Theater in Lancaster, PA. After Sept. 2001 they left the road. My great hope was that they would someday do an "unplugged" tour. It was never to be. Oh, how I miss their live harmonies! But, thank you, Phil, for the recordings that will last through my lifetime and beyond. My condolences to Phil's wife, children and, most especially, his partner throughout his entire life, his brother, Don. "If there's a Rock n Roll Heaven" Phil is there!!!!
We saw the "Everly's in Melbourne Australia in the 80's,What a concert!
So very sad to hear of Phil's death, his voice and his wonderful harmonies helped make The Everley Brothers sound truly magical. First Chet Atkins and now Phil Everly, it seems that we're losing all the greats.
I was absolutely heartbroken when I found out that Phil Everly died. I was so fortunate to have sat in the second row during one of their concerts in 1987 and take pictures of Don and Phil. It was one of the happiest days of my life. I will miss him very much
It was a very sad day when Phil Everly was taken from us. I was a young girl when I first heard 'Wake up Little Suzie' and I was instantly hooked. No other music has touched my soul in the same way since I first heard the Everly Brothers. I was privileged to see them at Batley Variety Club in West Yorkshire in 1971 and I still have their treasured autographs. Sleep well Phil. Love and kind thoughts to all your family and friends xx
REMEMBERING THE TRULY WONDERFUL LOVELY PHILIP EVERLY..LOVE ALWAYS PHILIPPA XX
It was so much fun. Thank you forever.
The loss of no other entertainer has affected me as deeply and for so long as that of the angelic voiced Phil Everly. I hope that in his lifetime he realised just how much he and his music were loved. No-one matched his pure voice and I am so sad he has gone, but so grateful for the huge legacy that, together with his lovely brother Don, he has left us.
From what I understand he was a gracious, kind and sensitive soul, and the world will certainly be the poorer for his departure. Thank you so much for being there during some of my lifetime, and my sincere condolences to all the family and friends that loved him and will miss him so much. I will never stop playing the music and fondly remember the greatest and sweetest harmoniser that ever trod this earth.
my thots had and prayers are with the family i had the pleasure of seeing you in concert twice one of them was your reunion concert and the other was in las vegas in 1989 when my cousins got married in vegas loved both shows you will be greatly missed karen davis
I will never forget how the words and melodies by the Everly Brothers touched my heart even as a little girl. My favorite was "Devoted to You".
I cannot imagine the pain you must feel in your hearts upon his falling asleep in death. Now it is your turn to be comforted. May the words of Job be a comfort to your heart when he asked God: "If a man dies can he live again?...YOU will call and I will answer YOU. YOU will long for the work of your hands." May your hearts be filled with hope as we are assured of God's devotion to His own promises to us.

Thanks for the beautiful harmonies; I still remember my brother getting "Bird Dog" in the late fifties; I know I was blessed to experience the sounds of that era; a time with so much energy and optimism; the Bryants and Everlys were a sublime combination and I feel blessed and privileged to have enjoyed their efforts as they first unfolded...
Lake Elsinore, CA
My wife and I considered ourselves lucky to see you both at the Royal Albert Hall so sad that it would be the last time we would see the greatest singing duo ever
Always was and always will be the most beautiful sound in music I ever had the pleasure to hear. Phil and Don's sound was a gift that you never forget and wish would never end. I to am very saddened to see any chance of seeing them together again end. All we have left now are the memories and luckily the music itself. Thank you both. I can honestly say I've heard the best there was. R.I.P Phil and we still care Don.
I still listen to your music everday. you guys are my all time favorites. Thank you for the great music.
I love your music and play it every day. I have the reunion video from the Royal Albert Hall which is just mesmerizing. Love and prayers to all the family
When I heard of the passing of Phil, I watched the Reunion concert in England several times, reliving my teenage years. It felt as though I had lost a family member. The sounds of the Everly Brothers are unlike no other and I will cherish their music always.
We all got a glimpse of the sound from heaven when Phil and Don leaned in toward the mike while merging the absolute best of their (inborn) 'four' part harmony with their voice (and) guitar blend. `Papa Ike' was rewarded with us all when he encouraged their gift. Thank you, Bro's! (Barry, WA.)

So sad to hear of you're departing.
You have been an inspiration to me since the early sixty's.
We used to listen to radio Luxemburg in the early days, and the Everly brothers dominated the airwaves.
Your voice and the close harmony that you sang with your brother Don have been unsurpassed.
I am a fellow musician and a vocalist and I salute you.
Your music will live on.
My condolences to the Everly family.
The first record I ever bought was Cathy's Clown, when I was 10 years old.I still play the Everley brothers music now and always will.Even my grown up son knows most of the words to their songs. Amazing singers Phil and Don, my dad and I shared our love of their music. My dad passed away on 23rd of December, but his memory will live through the everly brothers music. Thank you to two amazing singers.
God rest Phil, together with Don you gave a lot of people a lot of pleasure, you were part of my life and part of my growing up. Tonight there is a tribute to both of you on the BBC, What a show,
I was 5 when I first heard the Everly Brothers sing Cathys Clown. It was amazing...best harmony I have ever heard. Maybe it will never happen again but so glad I've been part of it.
There will never be another duo to come close to the beautiful music the Everlys performed.
My sympathies go to the family.
Leslie Kaufman ( U K )
Thanks for having such an influence on my singing...you taught me how to harmonise. Big part of my early years listening to you.
Grateful thanks, Jenny Colley. Sheffield. England.
So very sad and so young rip x
R.IP Phil Every ! The Every Bros. were a big part of my life.
The greatest dou of the '50's hands down! They helped make the '50's the greatest generation ever and it will be a very long time before another duo as great comes our way (if ever)!
My heart goes out to Phil's family because he is still in mine after all these years and his music will live forever. Thanks for the memoires.
Although Phil is gone, thank God the sound of the Everly Brothers will live on. How lucky we were to know their perfect kind of music, that original sound. Phil's touching 2012 Thanksgiving and Christmas messages were proof that he knew how much he continued to be loved by his legion of fans. Forever loved...we will never forget.....
The Everly's began in Iowa, my own home state. Their singing, as a family and as Brothers
helped----- in a tangible way----- to make life easier living for many, many.
I will never tire of hearing Don and Phil
sing. I was and will remain a big fan of
both. Condolences to the entire Everly
They never lost their sound and charm. Love and prayers go out to all of phils family
I had the chance to meet them after they performed in a show in Albany, New York. I was still a teenager myself and they had a big hit at the time Wake Up Little Susie. They were so nice and down to earth. I talked to them for a moment and shook their hands. It was such a big Thrill for me.
RIP Phil we will miss you thank foe the memories Tony Val Cheshire
My deceased husband (died 2002), that I married in 1962, fell in love listening to The Everly Brothers music. Even when we would hear a song by The Everly Brothers years after our kids were born it would cause us to look at each other in the eyes and smile. I still play their songs when I am missing my hubby.
So sad. Heartfelt condolences to family, friends and forever-fans 'round the world. The Everly Brothers' exquisite voices and gorgeous guitar music shall remain always on my soundtrack of life… a constant presence. I've long harbored the wish that we'd share space again at yet another venue, but that's not meant to be. Rest in peace, Phil. Thank you so much.
I will always remember and love your music
Dear Phil, you gave me peace when my heart was broken after my dad's passing. Now you share your beautiful voice with him. He must be thrilled to meet you because he admired you so much.

All I Have to Do is Dream made me a fan. Since Phil was the harmony, he was my favorite. He has surely found his place in the tenor section of God's choir by now. Blessings to the family. Doris, New Hampshire
Words cannot explain my feel of loss . God Bless the Everly family & comfort them .
First music I fell in love with .
My sister and I were at the Simon and Garfunkel concert --- and The Everly Brothers were amazing that night., Best concert ever!
It's so hard for us to see our Icons get old and move on! But it's happening all the time any more. Phil will be sorely missed! I'll remember him fondly as I replay the old hits over and over again!
RIP Phil Everly!
The first 45rpm record I ever owned was, Cathys Clown. I still have it. I'm so sorry for your great loss. I've loved you both all my life. Wilda Carr, Williamsburg Kentucky.
I have loved Don & Phil for over 50 yrs. They were a big part of my life growing up, and I was just a child, but loved them both as they were like one person. I joined all their fan clubs, & listened to their music day & night. I dreamed of the day that I would meet them. I was lucky enough to meet Phil at the reunion concert. I was still a die hard fan even when they weren't popular.
I'm sorry for Phil's family at such a great loss, but I know that he's not suffering anymore. My heartfelt condolences with deep synpathy.
Bye, Bye Love Sweet Baby Phil
Thank GOD I was fortunate enough to witness your sheer perfection in your first UK tour at the Rialto York in 1958. ABBA wont mind if I simply say,THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC.
mal & kim snowden (Scarborough U.K.)
My deepest and heartfelt condolences to all of Phil's family - Patti, sons, granddaughters, Don, and Don and Phil's mom, nieces/nephews, and all extended family and friends. I can only imagine your grief, and feel that in some way, I share it, not to diminish the intensity of those who knew and loved and were loved by Phil personally. I never had that privilege, altho the Everlys and their beautiful music, ACHINGLY BEAUTIFUL, really, touched my life so much, as it did so many others. What a beautiful gift you all gave us, Don and Phil, and really your extended family who were so much of who you are. Not knowing Phil personally, I still had a strong sense of his kindness, sweetness, and sensitivity - why, couldn't say except that it somehow came across, and now after his passing reading from people who did know him only confirmed how true that was. I didn't know about that BBC special until the last few weeks, and have watched it several times. The music and stories so comforting to my grief. And at the end, hearing them sing "Amazing Grace" was such a beautiful, poignant, painful but yet sweet and exhilarating goodbye. Rest in peace, Phil. You are missed. May you find your heavenly reward in countless measure, and may your family be comforted by the eternal peace and love of our Heavenly Father. With much love and appreciation, Charmaine
Thanks for the music & the memories. You made the world a better place and left a great legacy that will live on. Condolences to your family.

I fell madly in love with the Everly's unique sound from the very first time I heard "Bye Bye Love in 1957 when I was only 11 years old. I've been fortunate enough to meet them in person SIX times and have had my picture taken with them. It was because of them that I learned to play guitar. I was heartbroken to learn of Phil's death. My sincere condolences to his family and loved ones. Their sound will never be matched.
Shirley Byrnes DiRupo (NJ)
Just to say that Phil, together with Don, had brought influence to popular music that has been felt ever since to this day; indeed I would say that had we not had the Everly Brothers, I am most sure that we will have never had the Beatles. I am sure that the music scene of the 1960s and perhaps beyond would have been so much dull without their presence from back in the late 1950s onward. My deepest sympathy to Don and all members of the Everly Family. R.I.P Phil and thanks for everything!
Happy birthday in heaven, Phil Everly. You will always be a part of my heart. My thoughts and prayers are with your family on this, your 75th birthday.
Phil was a beautiful singer/harmonizer.....loved the Everly's music! Condolences to the family and especially Don!! God bless!! XX
My sympathy and prayers go to the Everly Family.
My husband has loved the beautiful voices of the Everly Brothers...since he first heard them. Growing up as a young man in Holland he and his brother would sing their favorite songs together.
And...still to this day he listens your music everyday! I am blessed every morning to wake up to the sweet sound of Phil and Don singing Songs our Daddy Taught Us...Kentucky is my personal favorite! On the day of Phil's passing we were playing that cd all day in our car...and sadly right after listening to Kentucky we heard the news of Phil's passing...
Our 22 year old daughter says...songs our Daddy made us listen to...but she loves it, so does her 4 year old cousin!
Thank you Everly Brothers!
Your music will be forever in our family.
God bless you Phil Everly
Thank you Phil as you made my "growing up" in the 50's forward such an enriching experience...be it humming along, dancing or trying to find that common note on my piano. I'm saddened for your family, but, we know you are now harmonizing in the most beautiful choir of all...the angelic one. How can we possibly forget Don, your other half! Bless you Don and the rest of the Everly family for sharing this rare talent and humble man. Andi Martin Wilson..Mobile, Al.
My condolences to all of the Everly family on the death of Phil Everly.
A large part of my youth has now also passed away. I first heard their magic sound when I was in grade 10 at a Catholic High School in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and I became a life-long fan of that Everly brothers' sound. I still have a number of their recordings in my record collection to this day and managed to see them twice in concert whenever they were performing in Toronto. When I play those recordings, it takes me back to my youth and listening to them keeps me young. Other groups have tried to emulate their sound but nobody can sing the way that they did - - they were definitely unique and one-of-a-kind.
Since I was 13 yrs old in 1958, I have been entranced with the exquisite voices of the Everly Brothers. Thank you for sharing your unique talent with us all these years. My condolences to your family at the sad loss of a brother, husband, son, uncle and grandfather. RIP Phil Everly
What a loss. I grew up singing your songs, and it caused me to decide to do music all my life. I'm glad you're still here Don, and I hope to hear you in concert sometime. Please continue to sing and get out there.
Will always love Phil and Don Everly... Your music in in my DNA.
To Don Everly;
It was you and Phil that encouraged me to play music and enter the entertainment world. I've played your songs in Vietnam (combat marine)and at talent shows and private parties. Before my brother passed away, he and I would listen to "Songs Our Daddy Taught Us" and stay up half the night. The impact you and your brother had, and still have, on my life is immeasurable. I'm proud to be a veteran and proud to have the luxury of listening to the finest harmony duo in the world! R.I.P Phil...you will always be forever remembered. Sincerely, John Harding

Thank you, Phil: you became a part of my life from the age 12 in 1958 -- my first 78 was Bye Bye Love-- accompanying me through my teens. I've lived all over the world, including twice in southern CA,and had lots to do with the 60s and 80s music scene, and I truly appreciate your inestimable influence on music, notably on our generation. I feel your passing as if you were a member of my family -- sincerest condolences to your family.
Rip phil everly u will never be forgotten my prayers goes out to the everly family.
Thank you to Don for having the courage to reunite with Phil in 1983 and for allowing us to again share your magical harmonies. Watching the Reunion Concert on You Tube this week brought tears to my eyes each time you smiled at each other. You will never regret this.
Phil and Don inspired me and touched my heart with the kind of music they played. God Bless you Phil and you are now at rest touching the hand of God.
Thanks for the harmony in all the Everly Brothers music; there really is nothing else that compares. So sad it is really over.

What would the 50s and young love have been without the everly brothers! Still have the 45s. What wonderful memories!
Your music was the soundtrack to my life

The Everly Brothers all "I Have To Do Is Dream" was the first record I bought at age twelve. I had such a crush on Phil and have been a life long fan. I saw them at The Palace in Myrtle Beach, SC while the were still touring and I appreciated their talent even more as an adult. My deepest sympathy to his wife, family and his brother, Don. Another legend is gone.
The passing of Phil Everly marks an absolute end to the true origins of rock and country. Their songs, rhythm guitars and of course those harmonies will never be duplicated. They were beyond influential, much more so than Elvis and EVERY great musicians knows it. They NEVER sold out !
The Beatles and Simon and Garfunkel gave credit ,where credit was do.

I was deeply saddened when I learned of Phil's passing. I was introduced to the Everly Brother's songs initially in 1957, by my Father who was then in
Canada. They were part of my young teenage years, when the world was more innocent than today. I still today play their wonderful heartbreaking harmonic, songs frequently. My thoughts are with Don his Mother and Family at this 'So Sad' time. Please accept my sympathy and heartfelt condolences. Bye Bye Phil.
To one of the most beautiful voices you will ever hear in your life I have never stopped mourning.
Loved to hear you guys. Charlie Linenfelser

Thank you for the memories, because that's one thing they can't take away.
Had the pleasure and honour of meeting Phil twice and saw the brothers sixteen times over the years. I still have ALL their music and love it still today.
There are no words - just huge sadness, great memories and thoughts for his family.
Phil will be sadly missed by family, friends and fans, from all walks of life, from all around the world. Their music is timeless, and oh, what a wonderful legacy has been left to us all.

I loved their music when I was a kid. My favorite was Bird Dog. I attended my first concert when they were in the Philippines. i have listened to their music ever since. The music world will miss Phil and I know his family and Don and his family will miss him even more. Bye Bye Love will be Phils song from now until eternity. Good Bye Phil and sing to your hearts content, nothing to stop you know!!!!
I found the greatest video of Phil and Don from their Reunion Concert in London from 1983. Every American should go to You Tube and watch it. The boys never sounded better. It seems to me that Phil was a very humble kind man. We will always have Phil with us thru his recorded voice. A gift from God. Don we are all with you, hang in there.
The Everlys are part of my life. They are God's gift to so many of us. To Phil - my gratitude.
I know the world has and will always be a better place because of the Everly Brothers he now sings in a place pace thanks phil
Been an ardent fan of the Everly brothers since a teenager. I still play their cd's. The music world has lossed a gem. Sleep well Phil.
you will always be with us--thank God for all the music you left us with---it's part of all our lives--always!!!
Phil Everly, you wrote 'When Will I Be Loved?', the answer is always, by anyone who loves music. Bye Bye Phil.
Thank you Everly Brothers for your beautiful music. Rest in peace, Phil. You both were important to my marriage, my husband just loved your harmony and I don't have him anymore, but still have your music and that brings back memories of him singing along with you. Thank you!
so sad to hear of phils death seen everly brothers in rds when i was a teenager
In my youngest years I was grown up with the Blue Diamonds in the Netherland, with their nice and smooth sound. Later on however I heard the Everly Brothers from the USA with their own rocky country sound. So I'm a fan of both of the singinging brothers and the equivalent of it the both DUO's are missing One member, but they are still missed as One of Them. Robert C. Blondeau in the Netherlands
PHIL had a home here in Columbia, Tenn. I saw him many times in many places, and although i never had the opportunity to speak to him, he was a very quiet, almost shy, man. He was loved here and was involved in so many good things in our community. I loved the music and will miss the man!!! PRUST, Columbia, Tennessee
thoughts and prayers are with the family.
I was so sorry to hear of Phil's passing. What a great singing duo, loved the songs and still do.Rest in Peace, Phil.
I made All I Have To Do Is Dream my new ringtone to honor Phil. Love that song!
I grew up listening to the Everly Brothers and never really stopped. The shock of Phil Everly's sudden death has blown me away. There will never be another voice like his, or the amazing sound produced when paired with Don's. They will always be my musical idols. Perhaps more importantly, after reading quotes from his family members, I now know that he was everything he appeared to be to the public and more:
A true gentleman; humble and kind. A loving husband and proud father. Well done, Phil.
You will be forever missed.
I'm so happy to express what the Everly brothers have always meant to my life. I just wish it wasn't this sad occasion. I could never thank them enough for all they added to my youth and life. They made my days brighter and the memories are so dear. My deepest regrets for the passing of Phil Everly. I'm one of the millions who will always be grateful for those years of pure joy. What a beautiful time that was and much of it was thanks to the Everly brothers and their heavenly music.
So Sad to watch my number one singer of all time go away. I saw you for the first time in about 1990; the concert was perfect from start to finish. The two of you were such a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for all those many years of pleasurable listening. I pray you spend eternity doing what you love. The choir in heaven has just become much sweeter. My condolences to the family.

So hard to pick a favorite song there were so many. Phil & Don Everly's beautiful harmonies were always playing in our home. We would all sing & play guitars leaving us all with a tapestry of beautiful memories! Thank You for all the music left behind for many more generations to enjoy. "May the light of your memories diminish the shadow of your sorrow."
I was just a little girl when I first heard the Everly Brothers.I loved their sound and always have. I'm so sorry about Phil. Peace be with your soul.
I have loved these boys' songs throughout their career and always listened to all their music. I especially loved Phil's "The words in your eyes" which brought tears to mine after learning of his passing. Now it's God's chance to enjoy his singing.
Enjoyed the brothers' singing- A friend, Charles Elmore, and I attended Buddy Holly's funeral in Lubbock and I recall seeing Phil and the rest of the pallbearers seated toward front wearing blue suits. J>W< Holmes
"Wake Up Little Susie" was the first Everly Brothers song I
heard on the radio when I was 7 years old. I still listen to your
music and always will. Rest in Peace. My deepest condolences
to the Everly Family.
I am so sorry for your loss. Please take comfort in the Bible at Hosea 13:14. There God says he will redeem their souls from death.
You were a great role model. Thanks for serving in the USMC. Now it's time for the rest of us to quit tobacco.
There was no better remedy for a bad day than to listen to an Everly Brothers song. I would put on my headphones and before you know it, one song turned into many more. I loved them ever since I was in my teens. I would 'borrow' my brothers Everly Brothers 45's and add them to my collection. Although my heart is broken, my deepest sympathy goes to Phil's family. Thank you for sharing him with us. His music will live on.
thank God the suffering is over.RIP thank you for your incredible talent and the beautiful memories. your music will live on forever. God bless your family during the most difficult time.

God Bless you Phil and Rest in Peace your music will live for ever.Condolences to the family and may god bless you in your time of need.
Bye bye love. Sing sweetly in heaven.
I was so sad to hear the news of Phil's passing, he and Don were such a large part of my youth. Their songs have never aged and Phil's beautiful voice never failed. Heaven's choir will be singing so much sweeter now. RIP Phil, you will be deeply missed. Deepest condolences to his family and close friends.

Phil Everly...you are one of a kind...one who used all his many gifts and talents to bring JOY to our world...thank you for touching the lives of so many people. You will NEVER be forgotten. Sing on...
Dear Don Everly and Family: Please accept my deep and shamed apology for a previous signing in your Guest Book. I inadvertently quoted line from a Righteous Bros. song and attributed it to you! I was so saddened when I saw the notice of Phil's passing, that I was quite beside myself! But I do recall many enjoyable evenings harmonizing with my friend Jaime, out on her old swing set! Wake up little Susie, Dream dream dream, as well as many others. Her older sis, Sue, had all your songs, and that's how WE connected with you and your brother's sweet voices! We loved your music. God bless and keep each of you...and to let you know His Love keeps you. RIP Phil. Nola N., Wyoming, MI
Thanks Phil for the memories and the music. Rest in peace. Johnny, Indiana
The voice of an angel, god rest your soul, thanks for the beautiful music
Thank You Phil,my love will live on forever.....
Thanks Phil for the memories. RIP. I was fortunate enough to see you many times in the UK including the Reunion Concert.
I loved his and his brother's music. May he rest in peace and sore with the angel's.?
I feel very fortunate to have seen three Everly Brothers concerts, once in Canberra and two in Sydney Australia. At the Legends of Rock concert in Sydney we had the pleasure of meeting Phil and Don and they posed for photos with us. I actually sent a photo to America to Phil to autograph and was super surprised when it came back. Phil and Don were so friendly and easy to talk to we felt very privileged to have had the honour of meeting them.
On hearing the news of his death I felt that that was the day the music died.
My deepest sympathy to his wife Patti and family and also to Don.
May you rest in peace Phil and thank you for the wonderful music.
Joy Dawe ( Canberra Australia)
The world is a much emptier place without you Phil. You touched the hearts of many people with your music, both solo and with brother Don. I followed you for 40 years, in all of that time, i never read or heard anything negative about you, a truly Gracious human being. Always a smile and a kind word for everyone. You sang like an Angel here on Earth, now you truly are an Angel. You are loved more than you could imagine. Love you like a brother Phil. My thoughts are with your loved ones at this sad time. Gone, but never forgotten. RIP
I feel very lucky to have seen the Everly Brothers in Laughlin, Nevada. I was a DJ and got to see many entertainers. The Everly Brothers were the best we saw. I enjoyed them more than any live performers we saw. May God be with and comfort all the Everly family's at this very sad time. RIP Phil.
To the Phil Everly Family,,Hank Garland loved Phil very much & they remained close friends. God Bless Your Family & we will keep all of you in our Prayers. Phil was very loved and we will always remember him and smile. He was a great man and an inspiration to his fans all over the world. The Legendary Guitarist Hank Garland Family
there will never be a more beautiful sound in music than the Everly Bros. You played with the best and the best played with you. thanks Phil for the "Air That I Breathe"-what a beautiful rendition. I was very fortunate to meet and speak with you both at a Canadian
venue in the eighties ---it is a memory I will cherish forever. To all the the Everly family,God bless.
I am 70yrs old. So many of us are in the same age bracket as our teen idols, the Everly Brothers. To his beloved widow and son, they brought such harmony and peace to our souls with their singing.Heavenly Father only lends these great voices to us for a little while. Then He takes them back for Himself so they can now sing to all the angels in heaven. Yes, he is whole again and in his white robe singing in the heavens with so many other great voices. We on earth have been left with his songs to bring us soulful peace and our own memories when we used to listen to their songs. Bless your broken hearts. He did leave too soon.
The contribution of the Everly Brothers to western pop rock music will remain unmatched. The Beatles, Beach Boys, Simon and Garfunkel, Queen and many others have based their roots in the Everly's founding brand of music and we are all the richer for it.
RIP Phil Everly. Your contribution has been immense. We are grateful for that and saddened at your untimely departure.
You were my first crush. I always loved your music. Thank you for being a part of the music of my life. I loved your music so much because of my suggestion my grand daughter is named Everly. Rest in peace.
Thanks Phil for the memories. RIP
Thank you for the music Phil.
You are singing with the angels now. How lucky is the Lord to hear that sweet music. There will never be another Everly Brothers sound. What a shame. Save me a seat on the front row. God bless....
I grew up listening to Everly Brothers I'm 1 of those baby boomers
The music that you and your brother made was a gift from God that brought so much joy to so many, including myself since my adolescence. Rest in peace, Phil Everly, and know that the gift you shared is safe in our hearts.
-Eileen (Nesconset, NY)
I am an Elvis fan from the Netherlands, and deeply shocked that we lost Phil Everly, this great singer.

Phil made beautiful music and by all accounts was a superbly warm and generous man. Hope his loved ones will take solace in these messages, along with their own sweet memories.
Many enjoyed the Everly brothers music and I was sorry to hear of the death of Phil. May the God who give all comfort, comfort your family at this difficult time.

"Precious memories, how they linger" keeps playing in my head. So sad to hear of his passing. He will forever be a precious memory. Everlys were the musical backdrop to my life. I am 67 and still listening to their songs and watching YouTube moments. This week I am especially touched by Phil's "the air that I breathe." The sound is so sweet and pure and precious it breaks my heart to hear it. May he rest in peace. Nora Longsworth, Northwood, Ohio

I grew up with the Everly Brothers (while listening to their music).I`m from Germany where it was difficult to get any Everly Brothers` records in the early sixties. So I went to friends with my old UHER-tape recorder to record from tape to tape.
I`m very sad about Phil`s passing.I had the chance to see the Everlys in Cologne in the eighties.
I will miss him very much his songs got me through good times and bad.
MAY GOD FOREVER KEEP YOU IN HIS LOVING ARMS YOU WILL MISSED FOREVER BY THOSE OF US THAT LOVED YOUR MUSIC AND THAT BEAUTIFUL VOICE.

The harmonies that Phil brought to the Everly Brothers songs will never be matched ever again. Truly inspirational. My thoughts and prayers to the whole Everly Family for the great loss. Your music will forever play in the hearts of musicians everywhere.
My mum Betty (who is in heaven too now) loved the Everly Brothers, they were her idols in the 50's, and had their pictures all over her bedroom walls and I was born in 1957..when Bye Bye Love was born also..My mum played her Everly Brothers records all the time and I grew up listening to them and loving them too..and still do! I had a very turbulent latter childhood and found comfort, solace and refuge in listening to The Everly Brothers on our old stereogram.. I will always love them and I am so deeply heartbroken over the loss of Phil Everly.. I cannot imagine how Don and all of the Everly Brother's families, Phils wife and children must be feeling.. My deepest love, gratitude and condolences I send to all the Everly families.. A gorgeous light went out here on earth on the 3rd Jan and a new gorgeous light appeared in the heavenly ebony skies to take it's place..my favourite song is Let It Be Me.. and each time I hear it now will mean even more to me..To you dear sweet Phil Everly, the beautiful treasure that influnced not only me, and my mum, but trillions of others rest peacefully and may god keep you in his loving care..and forever in my heart and soul..xx
Bye Bye Sweet Caress !
Love to Mrs. Margaret who first share her most talented sons with the world.
Love to Don who has now become the kiss without the squeeze.
Love to Phil's wife and sons and all the Everly family.
Your personal pain and sorrow is shared by millions of loving fans around the world!
Those we have loved and lost
May no longer be where they were
But forever shall they remain
Anywhere and everywhere WE are !

My biggest condolences to the Everly Family for the loss of a loved member, Mr. Phil Everly. May God bless them all, and give them strength to go through this difficult time. I never wanted this day to happen. I have been devoted to the Everly Brothers since 1993, so deeply. My teen years were all about them. My high school essays/presentations, drawings, stories, dreams, nighttime stories for my 8yr old sister. We were hoping to see them perform again, but glad We saw them twice. A concert in Santa Fe, NM in 2000, where I lost my cell phone, but it was worth it. 1999 Prescott AZ concert, I drove 8hrs, with my family just to see them. All those memories will be with us forever. Thank you so much, Phil Everly/Everly Brothers.
Thanks for having been an essential part of my life's soundtrack, Phil. I'll hold you in my heart forever. Looking forward to our quarks all harmonizing in the great beyond! +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
God Bless and comfort Famiy and Friends. Dont make them like that anymore.
PHIL WAS A WONDERFUL HUMAN BEING AND I AM SURE HIS FAMILY WILL MISS HIS PRESENCE BUT THEY WILL HAVE ALL THOSE SWEET MEMORIES. HIS FANS,WERE BLESSED TO LIVE IN THE ERA OF THE EVERLY BROTHERS.
I was born in 1957, yet I know all your songs and love them dearly!! I sit here crying and listening to "All I Have To Do Is Dream"!! I love that song!!! My thoughts and prayers are with you and the family!! May God bless and keep you in His loving care!!!
My sister, Helen, and I were so upset to hear of the passing of Phil Everly this past Friday. Phil and Don Everly, better known to the world as "The Everly Brothers", were huge influences on me as a singer, songwriter and even as a guitar player. And, as many of you know, my sister and I have been performing an acoustic "Tribute To The Everly Brothers" whenever I'm not out on the road, for the past year or so.
The Everly Brothers' unique blend of country and rock 'n roll was years ahead of it's time, not to mention their one-of-a-kind, close harmony vocal sound which influenced everyone from The Beatles, The Hollies, Simon & Garfunkel and just about everyone since whose has drawn a musical breath. Paul McCartney said a few years ago that anytime he started to lose patience with an over-bearing fan, he thinks back to how tongue-tied he and John Lennon were when they came face-to-face with the Everlys for the first time. The Everly Brothers were the Beatles' Beatles.
You know, I've been in the music business all my life and I've met quite a few musical artists over the years who were musical influences on me, some of whom are now good friends of mine. Then, there were a select few artists, that upper echelon, that I could count on one hand, whom I have always wanted to meet. And right at the top of that list were Phil and Don Everly.
Both my sister and I are deeply saddened to realize that now, we will never get to meet Phil Everly. Through his music, especially since we have been dissecting their songs and studying all of their little vocal nuances for our tribute, we feel like kindred spirits. It's as if we do know them, if that makes any sense? Helen and I were both looking forward to a day when we might actually get to meet both Phil and Don and get to chat about their music, trade some stories and get a few tips from them for our musical tribute.
Unfortunately, there are not many of the originators and pioneers of rock and roll still with us. Elvis, Buddy Holly and Ricky Nelson, for instance, are gone. We still have Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Fats Domino, Jerry Lee Lewis and a few others but, they are in their twilight years. Fortunately, we still have Don Everly.
Sadly, we have lost Phil. And I think, especially for Everly fans, a little part of each of us died Friday when Phil Everly passed away. For us, The Everly Brothers, were our link to a much simpler time…the 1950's and early 60's, when music had an innocence rarely found today. Their songs were like the soundtracks to our lives, with songs that were guaranteed to trigger some special memories from yesteryear. They connected us to our past and our youth, when life was more carefree and the world was a much simpler and safer place. In this crazy world we live in now, we could listen to the Everly Brothers and be momentarily transported back to the days of bobby socks, hot rods and Brylcreem.
We already miss Phil and always will. We pray for his family, especially his mother, Margaret. That last thing any parent ever wants to do is bury one of their children. God bless her.
I can't imagine the heartache that Phil's brother, Don, is going through. Those two have been through it all together. The ups and the downs, the good and the bad. From starving musicians to rock and roll royalty, they did it all! We loved them together and as solo artists. It's always hard when someone loses a sibling, but this goes way beyond that. Phil and Don, were probably as close to twins as you could get, without actually being twins. Their lives were intertwined genetically and musically in a bond they most of us will never fathom. I mourn for Don and wish him strength through this trying time. I also want to offer my condolences to all of the Everly family, especially Phil's wife Patti, who I recently met and his sons, Jason and Chris.
Phil Everly was one of the greatest harmony singers, ever! We miss him already, but he will live on forever through his music. God Bless Phil Everly!
What a terribly loss! Our heartfelt condolences to the entire family. We encourage everybody to contribute in Phil's memory to the COPD Foundation http://www.copdfoundation.org/PhilEverlyMemorial.aspx to fight this third leading cause of death in the U.S.
My wife and I saw Don and Phil perform in a field several miles east of Vernon in the north Okanagan Valley of south central British Columbia, Canada one suuny summer afternoon in the early 1990s.If ever there was a perfect setting for having "Dream, Dream, Dream" float across this country meadow this was the setting. Never to be forgotten. What a wonderful duo. One of music's great treasures. We should all be grateful that our Creator made such talent available for the enjoyment of mankind.
I was very sad to hear of the passing of Phil. When I was a little girl, I was playing a round with my mother's 45 collection and I came across "Take a Message to Mary" and "Poor Jenny". I was instantly hooked and I am very Thankful that I got to see them in Concert Three Times in Cleveland. They sang like angels and Phil you and Don gave the world a gift, Wonderful Music that is Timeless. God Bless You and your family during this hard time.
my sincere condolences to the everly family at such a sad and difficult time.Thank you phil for entertaining us,your fans all these years.Rest in peace.

May the lord give you the strenght to carry on...
Like many others I too grew up on Phil Everly's music.
When the Everly Brothers were touring Europe in the sixties, they were accompanied in Germany by the band of my family & friends.
They had been performing with many famous artists but the Everly Brothers left a huge impression with their vocal harmonies, guitar skills and their down to earth mentality.
Now Phil Everly might have passed away, but true legends never die and thus he will live on forever in our hearts...
God bless you Don and Phil Everly! You are the best.....always will be! Loved your music since I was a young teenager....no one compares with you...simply no one! Don, you and all the Every family are in our thoughts and prayers. We will always love you! Sincerely; Leslie [Canadian!]
We extend our heartfelt condolences on your loss. May you find comfort in your fond memories of your dear love one.
My sincere condolences to the family and friends. May you find comfort from the peace of God during this time of sorrow and in the days ahead-Phillipians 4:6, 7 E.D. Park Forest, IL.
Phil and Don inspired me to get a guitar and started playing since " till I Kissed you " Already more than 50 years I still do. Thank you for all the beautifull songs and the great way of finding the right harmonies.
Phil, Everly Brothers music is like no other, heavenly harmonies that leave the listener breathless.
Those many hours we spent driving to numerous concerts in the Midwest, full of anticipation and excitement will always be some of life's greatest times.
Each photo, each autograph, each memory remain a priceless treasure. The day you walked up behind me in Studio B in Nashville as I was purchasing Everly post cards and offered to sign what I had purchased (and there was a tall stack) is just one of "the best times of my life". Thanks for the times at Central City, Lake Malone and the patience so I could get yet another picture and another autograph.
And I'll always remember the story of the white shoe polish you told relating to walking thru poison ivy while making the video for "On the Wings of a Nightingale".
Condolences to Patti, Don and Margaret and all the Everly family. - Esther Dauma, Kansas City, MO
Phil Exchanged Birthday Cards With Me One Year, A True Gentleman
I guess I must have listened to your beautiful music almost every day of my life... You were one of the most important reasons that I became a professional musician myself. In fact I still sing some of your songs each time I perform live with my band. You also taught me how to sing harmony (like you did to millions of other people, of course). I do a lot of vocal arranging, and I still hear your voice (and Don's) in my head when I'm writing those vocal scores, probably because you guys had the ultimate perfect vocal blend. I feel very privileged that I had the opportunity to experience your wonderful voice live at 2 of your concerts. I just can't thank you enough for everything you did for me, even though you obviously weren't even aware of it. I have always loved you and your music, and I will continue to do so for the rest of my life. My sincere thanks for all the wonderful soul soothing music you've recorded for the rest of us to enjoy forever.
May you rest in peace dear Phil.
I lived a few blocks from Phil and went
to school with him in Shenandoah, Iowa. Thanks to Phil & Don Rock & Roll was born. My sincere condolences to the Everly Family.
the everly brothers the best there ever was god speed phil
Phil You were a musical Guru to Me.It is an American Pie period for Me " The Day The music Died" You have been, thru your music a big, big part of my life.
Everly Brothers...their harmonies were perfect. Always a pleasure to listen to. Saw them at Ontario Place and at Massey Hall. Both times were such a thrill.
Condolences to the family. Thoughts are with you. Thank you for entertaining us over the decades. Phil and Don truly legends in our time. Glad I grew up in that era. RIP.
Member of one of the greatest duos of all time ! Thoughts and prayers for the family.
Even more than that angelic voice, there was an obvious trait of gentleness. He seemed to back away and let Don take the spotlight when his own voice was equally if not more, beautiful. His manner was that of a gentleman , which is so rare among popular musicians. Never a gimmick, always purity , and acknowledgement of the songwriters. I wish he could have lived forever. What an enormous loss to the music world and to his family.
I loved you then and I love you now. There will always be a place in my heart for you, Phil.
I was so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow.
One of the best and one of the founders of Rock and Roll.
Thanks for a lifetime of wonderful music, memories and inspiration. Thoughts and prayers are with the Everly family. Once again thanks for the music. I belong to Everly Brothers 4 Everly [ Official Fan Group on Facebook ]

Phil will be sorely missed all over the world xxxxxxxxxxxx
My parents liked your music, I've always liked your music and yours was the first music I gave to my wife. Thanks for the soundtrack of a lifetime.
Phil and Don's music made me pick up a guitar and start figuring out chords 45 yrs ago. I have been a professional bassist and guitar player ever since. Thank you Everly's. I belong to the Everly Group. A group of people that love and share vintage music from our guys. Thank you for all the beautiful music.
You've brought joy into my life since 1957 and you will be greatly missed. May you sleep and rest in peace.
My thoughts and love are with phials family at this sad time their music was so good hugs sharon lowe
I was 14 when I first heard you sing Ebony Eyes, and I sobbed. Your music took me through school, boyfriends, failed relationships, marriage, divorce. I was due to see you on 16th June 1989 but was admitted to hospital with high blood pressure, caused by pregnancy. I was gutted. Two years later you was touring and was in Aberafon, south wales. I was so excited, but totally unprepared for the emotion I felt. You and Don walked on stage, softly singing, "I blessed the day I found you...." And I cried like a baby for the first half. At the end a woman said to me, "dare we go down to the stage?" I was there in a shot. You got to the girl next to me and was called back. But you didnt shake my hand. So I knew I had to see you again to shake your hand. And I did, in Cardiff. I even passed you a poem I had written to you and Don. But now you are gone Phil, and I feel like my heart is breaking. I can't play my music because it makes me cry even harder. The person who had taken all my pain and tears away is now the reason for my tears. I didn't think I would ever feel a pain as bad as this, and I don't know what to do. RIP Phil, you are and always will be a legend to me xx
The most beautiful collection of songs you'd ever hear are the ones sung by the Everly's. The words thank you are and will never be enough for the joy you've bought to millions of people. Not ashamed to say I shed a tear. Rest in peace.
Thanks for a lifetime of wonderful memories, you were well loved here in Ireland every time you and Don played here. R.I.P.

My heartfelt condolences to Don and the Everly family. I feel that Phil and Don have been part of my extended family since as a child I first heard them on the radio in 1957 and immediately fell in love with their voices. Rest in Peace dearest Phil, we will miss you!
Phil Everly was my first love, I was fourteen and never thought I would ever see The Everly Brothers sing but I did before they broke up. The next time I saw them was at The Apollo Theatre in Oxford and they were absolutely brilliant. My children grew up listening to their music. R.I.P Phil you will never be forgotten. Carole Cassidy (Wantage, England)
Mr. Everly's harmonies and grace filled each piece of music in which he participated. He and Donald combined were pure magic.
I must say, Heaven has gained a brighter star today.
God Bless the Everly Family.

When I was 7, my brother played Bye bye love. I was taken by the sound of the EB's. At the age of eleven I recognized the gentleness in your eyes in all the photo's I had gathered. Loved you ever since. Thanks for all you have given us. Hereby my deepest sympathy for all of your family. Grieving with them.

A beautiful voice only from heaven
My heartfelt sympathy to the Everly family. Phil (and Don) have been a part of my life since I was fourteen years old (I'm now 70). Phil was my first crush and has always remained a part of my heart. I've seen the brothers perform in person dozens of times. I have many pictures of me taken with Phil over the years. He was always so personable. His passing is a great loss to his family, the music industry and his devoted fans. Phil, you will always be in my heart. Thanks for the memories.
Joyce Meyrick, Howell, NJ
Phil, thank's very much for your beautiful music and harmony. R.I.P.
My heart aches and my eyes tear. There is no music that touches my heart as you and your Brother Don's. The heavenly choir is greatly enhanced this day. God shared you and your beautiful music with us for awhile and now has called you home. Words can't express the loss. My deepest to your wife and family and especially Don. I viewed your reunion concert and I could see the love in you and Don's eyes, for each other as you blended your beautiful voices. Years can separate, but Love lasts forever. NEVER WILL THERE BE ANOTHER. God Bless you Phil Everly. God's peace with your family.
thanks for the music, concerts and that beautiful voice Phil.
Another Phil and Pam.
Jamas te olvidare Phil! Hasta siempre amigo!
Dear Everly family, from the Netherlands will be mourned. The loss of Phil is difficult for a life time fan of their music.
You have been a very important part of most of my life and I enjoyed it all so much.
You will be part of the rest of my life too.
You have been a great inspiration for me and many millions on this earth.
It has been and still is a privilege to be the President of your and Don's world wide fan organisation.
Thanks so much and may you rest in peace.
My sympathy to the Everly family. Wake Up Little Suzie was one of my first childhood songs that I remember. I played my Dad's record player over and over until I wore that 45 out! I loved the Everly Brothers songs and still own my own recordings today. Our loss is Heavens gain. May God comfort you.
Une étoile de plus au ciel!Tu eras toujours dans nos coeurs!
LOVE forever PHIL Everly. R.I.P
I have been so privileged to see you perform many times, and to have met you. I thank you for all the love and joy you gave. May Gods comfort surround Margaret, Patti, Jason, Chris, Don, and their families.
When I saw and heard you sing with your Brother in 85', will remain with me forever, a truly incredible experience.
Rest in peace Phil,.and again thank you for the superb music.
And to Your brother, family and friends world wide I send my sincere condolences.
In 1958 The Everly Brothers were the first concert I ever attended. 'Bye bye Love' was the first 45rpm I bought. You were with me during my teen years...singing about love and heartbreak...with me on my first date, at my marriage, and later as my children grew. Now my grandchildren know your music. You've been like family to me. You have blessed generations with that beautiful voice.
In September, 2013, I attended 'The Everly Family and Fan Get Together' in Nashville. As I look back I am so thankful to have been there in Nashville, meeting your family, and hearing your and Don's music performed by your family. We only had a vague inkling then it was to be a 'Goodbye'.
Phil, you are missed. But the world has your sweet voice, recorded for posterity, to enjoy forever. You will be missed by your family and a world full of people your voice and your gentleness blessed through generations. You lived a good life.
‘...Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!' Matt. 25:21 NIV
Don, I cannot leave you out. Thank you for giving us your all with that beautiful voice that sounds like heaven itself. I pray for you as you grieve for your brother. Edan, I know you will miss your uncle that meant so much to you. I hope you allow Phil's life to be a guiding light in your life. Patti, thank you for your graciousness during our time there in Nashville. May God bless you and Phil's sons and grandchildren during this difficult time. You are all in my prayers.
I was so saddened when I heard that one of the great voices of 50s rock and roll is silenced now. He and Don were so talented and had so many great hits. "Bye Bye Love" was one of my favorite songs. I can only imagine his beautiful voice is blending in with the angels in heaven right now. May your family be comforted with love and peace by our dear Savior at this time of sorrow, knowing that you will be reunited with dear Phil again soon. Rest in Peace Phil you may be gone but your great music you made with Don will be with us forever.
God be with the Everly family. May Phil rest in peace. Amen and Amen
Thank you Phil for your music and sharing it with the world. RIP Phil Everly
Your music never dies. I enjoyed listening your music every day.
R.I.P dear Phil.
Condolences to family and friends. Never knew the man but, as one of thousands of up and coming musicians of those early rock 'n' roll days, I feel personally bereaved at the loss of one of my great inspirations.
To the Everly Family and loved ones I don't know where to begin You are like extended family to me Phil & Don's music saw me all through my growing up and after . I would still play it on you tube I have cried a bucket as I am sure you have too . I will miss Him just as you will . I just pray the Lord will give you His peace to help see you through this and in the days ahead . if I was there I would offer my help in anyway I could be of service . So Iam asking God to send whom ever you may need as the days ahead will be hard . God Bless
Your brilliant music captured millions of hearts. Your smile was so warm and genuine. Your exquisite harmonies set a standard that will never be matched. Your gift to the world was your voice, your music and your generosity of spirit, and it has earned the unending devotion and gratitude of everyone who loved you. Your legacy is larger than life itself and it will remain a shining star for all to see...
Rose and I extend our deepest and heartfelt condolences to the Everly family. Phil and Don were always with us in their music and we loved them through that. Many times their music brought us to a standstill with its intensity and emotion and often that emotion overcame us. Phil, Thank you for the music, the memories from your shows and for being an outstanding human being.
The Everly Brothers are the reason I love music. Thsere never has been or will be another dueo, to surpass the sweet harmonies of Phil and Don. My deepest sympathy to Phil's family and friends. He and his sweet voice will be missed.
Met them both many times. Alan Freeds Rock N roll party's The Ed Sullivan Show, Patti Page Show, Perry Como show and the Arthur Murray Dance Party. Have many personal photos of my times with Don and Phil. Remember he is not really gone, He's waiting.
a gift to us all !!sadly lost1!
The Everly Brothers came into my life when I was 10 years old, and have been with me ever since. Never missed an opportunity to watch Phil and Don when they came to the UK. A very unique talent. R.I.P. Phil x
Phil and Don always made the kind of music that could make me smile the widest, hurt the most, feel the most optimistic, or sob the hardest.
Tonight, I'm crying. But still listening. As we all will, forever.
Rest in Peace Phil. Thank you for the wonderful music you shared with everyone. We will still have your music to remember you by. I send my condolences to Don and the rest of your family. May The Lord be with you. God Bless you as you join the Heavenly Choir. Your angelic voice will now be in Heaven!
The last great memory I have of you is presenting you with the plaque that Enshrined the Everly Brothers & Everly Musical Family into the Fans' Entertainment Hall of Fame; you thanked me, then gave me the greatest hug of appriciation. Afterwords we chatted just as two grandparent talking about our grandchildren.
I salute you for for being the greatest one of a kind high harmony singer, being part of the great duo that brought us so much great music but also salute for being a great family man and just a great person.Thank you for all of the great music and great memories
I now picture you up in the jamming circle in the heavens jamming with your dad Ike, cousin Ted and you mentor Chet along with all of the other great musicians that went before you. Rest in Peace but go make beautiful wi th them all!
My condolencesto your family and thank them for sharing you with the rest of us.
Phil, thank you for all the beautiful music that you made throughout your life. Your angelic voice will live forever. I send my love and prayers to the entire Everly family.
As a long time fan of Phil and Don and a member of a couple of Face Book pages devoted to them, I can only say that I was heartbroken to hear of Phil's passing. I know that we as fans were blessed to be able to share a large part of his life through his concerts and music. And I will forever remember the times that he and Don would come out after a show to spend a few moments with their fans. I fell in love with Phil when I was a young teenager and saw him on The Johnny Cash Show. And when they were chosen to do his summer show I was in heaven, That started a life long love of their music. And when EB84 came out, I was finally able to see them in person on stage. As I am typing this there are no less than 5 photos on my wall from concert photos that I had enlarged, to the original EB84 poster. Two of photos of Phil are autographed by him,and they are truly a couple of my prized possession's. My heart goes out to Patti and family and my deepest sympathy as well. I do believe that Heaven has received another angel with one of the most angelic voices ever heard here on Earth. Rest in Peace Phil. You will be missed.
Still in shock about the passing of Phil. It was not Elvis or anyone else for that matter that pulled me to Rock and Roll when I was about 10 years old. I remember vividly hearing Cathy's Clown and being absolutely floored by the harmonies. Ever since, Don and Phil have been great influences in my almost 50 year musical journey and like so many other musicians, famous and not famous, I never wavered from stating that the biggest influence in my career were Don and Phil. My deepest sympathy to the family and Phil might be gone but his legacy will live on forever as we, who started because of him and Don, will pass that knowledge on to our children who surely will hear their greatness. RIP Phil we all love you
I always feel bad when a great artist passes on, but on this occasion I broke down and cried. I was surprised that it happened, but I had no control over it. It's like losing someone in my own family. They were brothers, but they were my brothers too. And now, we've lost Phil. What a lousy way to start out the New Year. I really have a deep love for the Everly Brothers because of how deeply their music enriched my life over all these years, not just the old songs, but the new ones too, all of it right up to COLD. My deepest condolences go out to Don, and to all of Phil's friends and family. Never to be forgotten, nor replaced.
To the family, I am truly sorry for your loss. I started listening to the Everly Brothers when they hit the charts in the 50s and they were one of my favorite groups. Their harmony was beautiful and they will be missed. I loved Bye Bye Love, That Silver Haired Daddy of Mine and many other of their songs - thanks for many wonderful memories.
When I first heard "All I Have To Do Is Dream" on American Bandstand in 1958 I became an instant fan. This song became my first 45. I saw them in concert 15 times and never failed to buy their records. My condolences to all of his family and my sincere gratitude for the angelic harmonies. God bless you, Phil.
God Bless you Phil and thankyou for the wonderful music and memories R.I.P
My condolences to Phils family. I have enjoyed supporting him with his brother, I will miss him, may he rest in peace.Music will never be the same. May God comfort the family.Thank you for your marvellous music that will live on.

God Bless Phil Everly and welcome him in Jesus! Bring Your Loving Kindness and strength to his friends and family!
Phil 10, I'm 12, Tommy 12, Don 12. Some of the very best days of my life were spent with this group. The Everly Brothers have always been my idol. I knew and loved them 10 years before Bye Bye Love. I heard Bye Bye Love before it was released to the public. To say that my heart is broken because of Phil's passing is like saying the ocean is a body of water. I am devastated because of his passing. However, I have memories that will never fade because I will not allow them too. Maybe Tomorrow I will feel better but tonight I grieve for the loss of my wonderful, beautiful friend. RIP Phil, may God's richest blessings surround Patti, Don and the rest of the Everly Family, I know their grieving has just begun.
I am ten years younger than Phil Everly. Wake Up Little Suzie, Bye Bye Love grabbed my attention at a young, impressionable age. I saw them in concert..but still and always did, listen to them, sing their songs, learned from their harmonies. I became a musician. So much credit for this goes to them. I have loved their music more than I can say. What a thrill in the 20th century. Thank you, Don and Phil.
May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.
The world has lost one of it's most loved singers.
As a teenager I was a big fan of the Everly Brothers, so it was my great privilege to travel with Phil and Don as a musical director during their concert tour of New Zealand in 1961.
The Everly's play a major role in my 'History of Popular Music' lecture series. Even back in the early days of the Beatles I could hear their influence - 'Please Please Me' unmistakably references the harmonies of 'Cathy's Clown', one of my all time favourite Everly Bros songs.
My deepest condolences go to Don and all the family.
Thoughts and prayers to the Everly family. One half of a talented duo onto the heavenly band. Shenandoah IA Native
To the family of Mr. Everly, I send my deepest sympathy. May the God of comfort and peace be with all of you 2 Cor. 3, 4
Phil, You are so loved in your hometown of Central City, KY. You will be greatly missed. Thank you for leaving us with your music!
My heart broke in two when God took you home with him .you sang like an angel now you are singing with them. All my love goes to all your family .will always love you and Don till its my turn to leave this world
The phrase "Music to my ears" comes to mind whenever I hear an Everly Brothers song. Those sounds will remain in my mind and my heart forever. Thank You Phil, and Don as well. You will always be copied, but never duplicated. You are a part of my heart. Nancy
Being my inspiration to sing at the age of 7 my life has been in large the results of Phil and Don's influence. I met Phil once and I was so taken not only meeting my hero but by his gentle spirit, his great smile, his soft voice, his warm eyes and his caring attitude making me feel like an old friend. Rest in peace. Thank you for giiving so much joy to so many. If I ever get to Heaven some day the first angel Ill reconize. He will sing for me and I know he will be Phil Everly.
Thank you Phil for sharing your beautiful voice and your music I will always treasure the music. God bless, you will be missed. Love you for ever-ly,
In 1960 an eleven year old boy, accompanied by his parents, entered a small cafe in an alleyway close to St Albans Cathedral. As they walked in and took their seats the boy became aware of a song playing on the jukebox, and it made the hairs on the back of his neck stand on end. He was mesmerised by the sound coming out of the speaker. This moment marked the beginning of a life-long love, fascination, near obsession with popular music that lasts to this day. The song was 'Temptation' by the Everly Brothers. So smitten was he that the boy bought a copy of the 45rpm single on Warner Brothers Records even though his family did not own a record player. Shortly afterwards his father bought from St Albans market a simple Garrard deck mounted on four springs and he made a small shallow box to enclose this much prized piece of equipment. It was wired into the family Ferguson Radio, and that single, backed by "Stick With Me Baby' was played over and over again.
I was very saddened to hear of the death of Phil Everly. No two voices have ever blended as well as Don and Phil's and I guess that they never will be matched. I'm eternally grateful that they opened my ears to popular music - even if it's true to say that 'Temptation' was not their greatest single.
Andy Pegg (Reading U.K.)
May the God of peace and comfort be with the family, our prayers are with you
in their time of mourning
To Phil and Don Your music is missed so much today. There will never be another brother duet act like yours. Rest in Gods arms Phil. God Bless!
For 55 years, I have listened to the sweet harmony of your voice. If I live another 55 I will always be devoted to you. You are a hero here in Muhlenberg County Ky. God has given you the rest you deserve----Sing with the angels, your spirit is here in Kentucky.
I AM SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. I AM 72 COME THE 7TH AND I HAVE BEEN SINGING AND DANCING ALL OF MY LIFE LISTENING TO THE EVERLY BROS., MUSIC. MY FAVORITE OF ALL TIMES IS "WAKE UP LITTLE SUSIE". HE IS NOW SINGING FOR THE LORD. HE IS GOING TO BE MISSED FOREVER. A VERY VERY ARDENT FAN, SANDRA SLATER LOUISVILLE KY
One of the greatest testimony's to the amazing God given voice this man had is to watch the joy in the face of Mark Knopfler as the Brothers sing his song. Why Worry? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CkFcQRiFL68 If this does not show you the depth of the great gift and the power it had on millions of us, picture the smile on the face of God as he sings to His glory. May the peace that surpasses all understanding guard the hearts and minds of the family through Christ Jesus, as you grieve a loss so great.
To Phil Everly.
You and your brother Don were very talented entertainers. I enjoyed listening your songs Bye-bye love, and Wake up little Susie. My prayers go to your brother Don and the rest of your family. Lisa Weiner

The photos, the memorabilia I collected over the years finally evolving in my book "Photos, Fantasy, & Verse which I presented to them in 1998 was definitely a day to remember. My prayers go out to the family and my thanks to Marian Kirtley, Diana Sue & the Muhlenberg Fan Club for being so nice to me when I was there.

My prayers go out to your beautiful wife, 2 sons, Mother and your Brother that he will bring comfort to them at this time.

Phil was always special to me when he gave me a ring at eight yrs. old. When ever we saw each other Phil always gave me a hug. So glad I got to talk to Phil in the fall. I will see you in heaven. I will be praying for Patti, Aunt Margaret & the rest of the Everly family. Love your first cousin: Diana Sue
Beyond Words; grief and sadness.
Phil touched millions around the World, decades; common people and many Pro's. And still will.
A roll-model in perfect tuning harmonies, to mention a one of his great talents.
Very organized, meticulous, Warm and Always with a sense of Humor; Devoted To You!
What an Impressive and Great Legacy, with his brother Don.
Privilaged to have met You.
Thank you, Phil, and Don too, for all that beautiful music. Loved you then, love you still. Everly Brothers, forever!
One of my first birthday gifts at age 13 was 'Til I Kissed You. I've been in love with the Everlys ever since. I am so very sad to know that one of the two most angelic voices ever heard is gone. This world's loss is Heaven's gain. RIP, Mr. Everly!
My thoughts, prayers & condolences go out to the family, friends & associates of the great Phil Everly. As a teenager, I played their music constantly & watched them on "Bandstand" whenever they appeared on the show. Phil Everly was taken much too soon, but his beautiful music will live forever. Now, he sings with the angels.
Dear Phil, and brother for that matter! I had my teenage romance "epiphany" occur when your song "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'" came out. I bought the 45 rpm record and wore it out on my little monosound Marvin single-record record player. I remember feeling so odd...at the time not knowing what falling in love and all that 'stuff' was about! Then, after my first real heart break, WOW! I played it again, over and over. You guys really WERE the ultimate love crooners for us Baby Boomers! Just as Bing, Frank and Toni were in their generations. God bless you!
I first met Don & Phil at the 'Sat night Jubilee'; which was aired from the E T Record shop immediately after the GOO went off the air. MY sister was dating a guy who played in the ET Band, so we went to that show often. My best friend & I were very happy to learn that the Everly Bros were performing on that show; we had just gotten out of HS and had come to Nashville to go to 'Business College'. We were BIG fans of the Everly Bros and they were just beginning to get a lot of attention. --I believe that this was the first time that they performed on the ET SHOW; but am not positive, but do know that it was in the summer of 1957; and it was the first time that we had been able to see the Everlys perform live. We were very excited and they did a great job on their 2 performances. Since we had just moved to Nashville, and were both BIG Music fans; we saw the Everly Bros often, after that. We were just graduated and going to school & working in Nashville; therefore we went to the "freebie" stuff as often as possible.
WE truly loved the Everly bros and saw them often at the 'free venues' after that. Very soon they were doing other stuff (which cost money to see) but we saw them as often as possible. I am still a very big Fan and believe that my friends are as well.
Condolences to Don and all the members of the Everly family. You will be in our prayers. We still love your music.
Your voice will never be silent and your memory and the memories we made because of you and Don will live on in each of us for the end of time. Once you heard those voices you just knew that you heard the voices only a loving God could have produced. You were ours for a time and now you are God's for all eternity. Condolences to the Everly family and thank you for sharing him with us all. We will never forget you Phil nor your brother Don, you each made the other whole. Wishing you God's speed.
Phil Everly was my teen idol. For 55 years I've quietly toasted him on his Jan. 19th birthday. I had the joy of interviewing him for an article I was writing for a major paper. We have lost a terrific person, a man with an angelic voice loaned to him at birth by God... He's just now personally returning the gift. Paula Z. (St. Louis, MO.)
So sad to hear the passing of Phil Everly. I truly believe Phil and Don had not only the best harmony but the best music. I love all their songs. Heaven has gained a beautiful singing angel. You will be missed Phil. My thoughts and prayers are with the Everly family. Good night our sweet angel.
A hero is gone...
Thanks for influencing 50 years of my life. See you in heaven. I hope with one of your black guitars....
Sunday. June 30, 1957. The day after my 10th birthday. My sister & I were playing in the backyard when our Dad stuck his head out the kitchen window and hollered at me "Hey, those boys you like to listen to on the radio are on Ed Sullivan." I ran into the house and heard the music before I saw the TV set and when I saw The Everly Brothers for the first time I was speechless. They did not look like any boys in my neighborhood or school. I have never ever gotten over that moment. It inspired my lifetime love of The Everly Brothers music. My good fortune is to have seen them in concert several times in the 1980s and 90s. My favorite Everly Brothers song: Maybe Tomorrow. Although I never met either of the brothers, Don did stand still at a concert once to let me take a great photograph of him. I cherish that moment. I cherish both of the Everly Brothers. Cathie Davids (Flint, Michigan)
Another special singer gone, but never to be forgotten!
Phil ,you you were a great singer . You will be sadly missed by all you family , friends and also your fans . My you rest in peace. Our prayer and thoughts are with your brother and family.
Darlene ( Valentine ) Jones. Benson, MN
Phil you will be remembered along with Don as two of the BEST ever when it came to singing harmony songs. RIP Phil.
Great statement by Phil: "Harmony is the ultimate love." He meant that you give up your own limelight to enhance the performance of another person. Isn't that great?
As a child I stood on my daddy's feet while we danced to Dream. One of my very special memories. I am still in awe of those harmonies that sail through ones soul. All were God inspired. Thanks for music that made me sing. Kathy B

In the early 60s, the Everly Brothers came to Cheltenham England. I was working in a Jewlery shop at the time when Phil came in and bought a Gold charm in the shape of a church. I didnt know at the time who he was, but later managed to get his autogram.
Deepest Sympathy. Eileen

I grew up with the Everly Bros music and always loved their sound. I especially loved Cathys clown. But enjoyed all their songs. Both brothers will be sorely missed. This too is "the day the music died". Rest in peace Phil and Don.
When my childhood friend, Linda, and I were about 10 and 12, we made up a routine on skates to Dream and skated to it with our tape recorder going. We emailed one another today hearing about the passing of Phil. May a band of angels lead you into Paradise, Phil. Love to your brother Don and your other family members.

I grew up listening to these guys. I guess I related to their songs. It broke my heart to learn of Phil's passing. May God grant Don and all Phil's family, peace and comfort during this sad time of grief.
It is with regret to learn of Phil's passing. He and Don were great Marines in my unit at 29 Palms and great entertainers even then.
One half of one of the greatest classic duos in history. I was fortunate to meet The Everly Brothers several times in Nashville. Always a class act.
"If there's a rock and roll heaven
Well you know they've got a hell of a band..."
My sincere condolences to the Everly family.
Thanks to the both of you for the fantastic music, neither of you will ever be forgotten. May God comfort the families at this time, and bring the peace that only He can bring.
One of my favorite music artists of all time as a kid and now. Thanks for the wonderful harmonies and memories. I will always remember the Everlys and you. As a young child that sound drew me in and I now realize I had great taste in music as a kid. Goodbye and Condolences to the Everly family.
I've been a happy EB addict for about 55 years. I have all the records, including the wonderful solos of course, seen many shows in UK and US. The music is an integral part of my life - I happen to know all the words to all the songs.I know there are thousands like me who now have some sense of your family loss. You have a special place in our grateful hearts.
To Patti & Family...Our condolences for the loss of Phil. I had the chance. To meet Phil at Central City. His Memory will be forever cherished.
My sister and I grew up singing Everly Brother's songs. They were incorporated into weddings, performances, parties and our daily lives. There's something magical about the sound of blood harmony and similarity of cadence and sensibility - like both parts emanate from one voice. Thank you Don and Phil for letting us hear that magic. I just finished reading a quote from Don, saying that he had a spiritual connection with Phil just before his passing. That happened to me when my mother passed. It's real and it's true and it surpasses death. Bless you all.
This candle will be the Eternal flame for Phil.
You were one of the most talented singer and songwriter I have ever heard. Your voice touched me every time I heard it. I am so blessed that I knew you and was able to enjoy your wonderful sense of humor. God bless you in heaven and God bless Patti and your sons, daughter-in-law and granddaughters.
To Patti and Family we are so sorry learning of Phil's death. I worked in Waukegan at WKRS Radio when I went to Loyola University in the l950's I promoted an Everly Brothers Concert at Geneso Theatre in Waukegan. It sold out I was the emcee. They had wonderful voices and a unique sound. Jerry and mary White, Springfield, IL
It was April 1976. I was almost 15 and totally unimpressed with the current music scene. Then I heard "All I Have to do is Dream" on the radio and I became a fan for life. I have met and seen Don and Phil perform, and it was a wonderful experience. Rest in Peace, Phil. My condolences to Don and the Everly family. The world is a little sadder tonight.
I would have never made it through my teen years without your WONDERFUL music. Thank you for sharing your talent.
There is no doubt in my mind that Phil Everly is/was an American treasure and I am grateful for the time that he was here.
I never met you, Phil, but I have listened to you my entire life. My sincere condolences to your family. Your voice was the voice of an angel so I know you will fit in with the heavenly choir just fine. Thank you for your music. I will always listen and will always love you.
The music of my youth. Loved every song, would listen for hours. Thanks for all the wonderful memories you left for us. Rest in Peace...join the chorus in Heaven.
Our two sons, Jimmy (16) and Tony (13) are starting a brother harmony singing career thanks to your inspiration. God is with you and thanks for all the joy.
They were first with me - before Elvis and before the Beatles. "'Til I kissed Ya" was "our song" with my first boyfriend. Just 2 days ago I played my 45s of the Everly Brothers hits. I did have the pleasure of seeing the Everly Brothers in person and it was a wonderful treat. God bless you, Phil Everly, and your family. Your legacy will live on.
First record I ever bought was 'All I Have To Do Is Dream' when I was about 10. What beautiful harmonies - play them to this day. Hang in there, Don!

Thank you for the music and memories. Your legacy will be a defiant man who avoided trends and created his own musical history. You will always be loved.
I am still in the state of shock in hearing of your passing. Saw you both every time you were in New York..front and center and would even meet you after the show at the backstage door to stop and say hi to you. One time I even said to you.." Phil, can I give you a kiss?" With that great smile of yours you said..sure! I still get the chills thinking about it. My sympathies to your family. Rock N Roll Heaven just gained another member. May you flying with the Angels. R.I.P. Phil and May God Bless you.
A sadly missed legend, one whose music i grew up with
So glad to have lived in the era of the Everly Brothers.
The Everlys were a major part of my younger days and I have remained a huge fan. Even in retirement Phil continued to influence new and younger musicians; the Everly contribution to music will never die. Thank you Phil so much for everything.
The Everly Bros. harmony is what started my brothers and I singing. We were young kids, listening to this wonderful duo and their music.
My condolences to his brother, Don, and all the family and friends of Phil Everly.
My condolences to the family, but especially to brother Don. Reading all of these tributes to Phil and the Everly Brothers, I can only imagine how difficult it must be to be the surviving half of something being so honored and memorialized and at the same time dealing with the loss of a younger brother.
I am so sorry he's gone. It's like losing part of my childhood and teen years. The first record I owned was an Everly Brothers one and to this day I still listen to their songs. My deepest condolences to his family and friends. RIP Phil, you will be very much missed.

RIP. Your music brought a lot of joy to my life.
First record I ever bought was a 45 - "Devoted To You" with "Bird Dog" on the B side. Stiil have it and still play it. Just doesn't get any better that that!
My heartfelt condolences to the Everly family. Reading all these entries in the guest book, I see Phil, the person and Phil the musician will be missed by so many. The Everly Brothers had such a distinctive harmony. I had the pleasure of seeing them and hearing them live on many occasions and there was no recording that could rival the live performance for me. I will remember the performances always. I had the great pleasure of meeting/knowing Phil. He was always kind, always with a smile, he was quite humorous and witty. I know he valued education and educators and enjoyed vintage cars. I hope he and his dad are singing in heaven together and sharing their voices with all of heaven. Bless the Everly family.
Rest in peace, Phil...the angels welcomed you with open arms to join the choir!
I listened to the Everly Brothers on the radio, my record player & I watched them on TV every chance I got! Thank you very much for the music and the memories.

The music was the best, grew up listening and still today everyone knows the words. My God take care of the family. Barbara, Stoughton, Ma.
None were better. I saw the Everly Brothers in person at a concert in New Hampshire in the late 1980s. It was like hearing them in the 1950s--nothing had change--just fabulous.
The Everly Bros. harmony is what started my brothers and I singing. We were young kids, listening to this wonderful duo and their music.

My best friend and I managed the Jordaniares first fan club in Nashville in the Mid to late fifties. The Everly Brothers were right up there amid the 'Stars.' I can still remember the first time we ever saw them. They were on the Ernest Tubb Record Shop show; following the GOO in the Mid 50's. They sang "BY, by Love" and "wake up Little Susie" and people driving down Broad St in Nashville would slow down as they went by the Record Shop; in order to hear the EB's sing. This was when they were just getting to be well known. Have loved them evey since. Was very sad to hear a TV announcement of Phil's death on the news last night.
May his family have nothing but good memories of these brothers. They were handsome and very good singers. My condolences to
Don and all of Phil's family. You will be sadly missed.

I've lost so much of my hearing, but can still hear their songs in my head. In the photo here, Phil looks so much like his first cousin (actor James Best) did at that age. Will be so missed.

I was very shocked and saddened to hear of Phil Everly's death, when I turned on my computer. He and Don were legends during the 50's when I was just starting out in elementary school. I guess they were popular for the "sock hop" crowd, but I still loved to listen to them when I was in elementary school. I grew up listening to a lot of singers, recording artists, and bands. Every once in a way, they, and others, were honored to help out public t. v., here in "Cowtown", it is PBS, or channel 13. There were salute to different eras of music and the singers. It is weird to see Phil and Don singing classic hits, one month, and here it is, January of 2014, and seeing one of the legends die. I know Don, and the rest of the friends, family, and relatives are just devastated! Too many good ones have passed away, here is another one. There goes another part of my past. Guess God and Jesus wanted to add to the heavenly musical group. They got another good one! I'll miss you Phil, and I am sure Don will praise you emphatically the next time the tribute shows come up. You will be terribly and sadly missed!
It can be so hard to face the new year without your loved one, but the love of family and friends can carry you through.
Great music. Condolences to the family. Rest in peace. Baltimore, MD
Sincere condolences to the Everly family. The world is fortunate to have the recordings of the finest vocal harmony this side of Heaven!
May he sing forever in heaven !
I named my daughter Suzie being your hit song "Wake Up Little Suzie" was my very favorite! May your memory live on.
Thanks for being there in the important days of my youth
In God's care rest in peace
Phil and Don were the best of all times. I listened to their music all the time. I was in the bar the Hop in Ca.once it was the best. Phil you will be truly missed.
Phil, I will always have the memories of following you and Don and the whole band around on tour, from the East Ciast to flying out to Lake Tahoe for the week. I will never forget how you told "security" you were going out the front to "see your friends." And all the other memorable things on those tours, water guns, bicycle horns, and the general silliness that ensues. Each venue was a whole new experience. What a wonderful man you were and I'm glad we got a chance to see you and Don, both onstage and off. I loved your rendition of "Maybe Baby", "Why Worry", and especially "You Send Me". You deserved all the gold records in the world! Jason and Christopher, my heart goes out to you both, know that your father was loved.
I knew some of the Everly songs as a kid in the 1960s, but really discovered them in the 1980s, and was delighted to see their reunion concert in 1984 at Jones Beach, New York. Thanks for all the fabulous music, Phil. Heartfelt condolences to your family. God Bless.
A piece of our lives are gone without Phil Everly in this world. He will, always, be in our hearts and minds. Every time we hear Phil and Don's music a piece of the past will come to mind. Rest in Peace, Phil, knowing your music and smile will live on, forever.

I hated to read this. Their songs were wonderful.
My condolences to the family. May our father in heaven be with you during this grievous time.
J.G.(Scranton, Pa.) Before the Beatles, Stones, BS&T and all the rest, there was "Wake Up Little Suzie" and The Kingston Trio doing Tom Dooley. I think I still have the 45's somewhere. When I owned a bar in the "80's the Everly Bros. were on the juke box. We also had some of the solo acts play "Tom Dooley" The musicians were always amased at the "cool" 45's on the juke. We always told the younger musicians to listen to the groups that helped start it all. The Everly Bros. were one of those groups. My condolences to the family and friends of Phil Everly. He was truly a pioneer. God rest his soul.
Thank you for the lifetime of music you have given us. Rest in peace my friend.
The Everly brothers were my favorite. Because they were siblings, there music was very special. The voices meshed beautifully.
I loved hearing the Everly Brothers from the 50's to today. What a wonderful contribution they made to the music industry.
The loss of a loved one can be so hard. Please have comfort in God 's love. 1 Cor. 15:26

From a fan in England: I bought the first and every record made. Phil had an exquisite voice and the harmonies with Don were beautiful. Sadly missed.
When I was ten years old I had your name embroidered down one side of a pair of cut offs and Don's on the other leg. At school, we all sang your songs and tried to copy your harmonies. Just a few days ago my 34 year old son bought a CD of Everlys Greatest Hits - he was raised on them.
To quote one of their lovliest songs - So Sad.
Some of the most loved songs and singers of my life time. Wonderful duo. None other like them. Judy Brown

I saw Phil with his dad and bro in Washington DC in the 70's, Heaven just got on beautiful voice. My condolences to the family. RIP Since I grew up with his and Don's music I feel like I lost a big part of my life and my own music mentor.
When I was in grade school, the first record I ever bought, after buying a record player, was,"Wake Up Little Susie." I still have the 45 record and will treasure it always. I was a big fan of the Everly Brothers. I knew all the words to all their songs. Rest in peace, Phil.
Thanks Phil for the music you and Don gave us. I still have the first 2 L P albums you fellows made.
