Mr. Vale was a very kind friend to my mother, Rose Santillo, in the 50's when he sang in a club in Western New York where my mother was a photographer and singer at that same club back then. Mr. Vale would visit my mother in the dark room as she worked while on his breaks. Often they would go out to breakfast after work, in her old car (with the driver's door tied shut) and my mother said girls would swoon over him in the restaurant. Mr. Vale asked my mother out on an official date and my mother, with three young children, felt unworthy, even though Mr. Vale said he could help her career. She got nervous before the date, not understanding how he could want to date her and told me she put her head under the faucet and cancelled their date. Mr. Vale was very unhappy about that. True story. She had a special picture of them together and they actually died a few days apart. My mother always respected him and he was very kind towards her. She told me a mutual friend of theirs told her Two Purple Shadows came out after that. He was very respectful and kind towards her and their friendship. I have always respected Mr. Vale for his kindness and respect to my mother and cherished his talent through the years.

I just listened to a Jerry Vale song and it brought memories of my mother, who passed away several years ago. Thanks for the joy you gave her and my family through your music. What a voice!

The most underrated singer of our time. .
He had a voice so mello and beautiful with power 2nd to none. He was my favorite singer of all times. We were so fortunate to see him in person many times at the Frolics in Revere, Blimstrubs Dorchester, etc. There will never be another Jerry Vale. Jerry entertained so many during his brilliant career but was never given the praise and credit he deserved.

As a young girl I remember seeing Jerry Vale in the late 50's at a supper club in Baltimore. He left a lasting impression on me and I still play his CD often. He was up there with Frank, Dean and Tony on my favorite list of Italian crooners.

Here it is, July 23, 2017 and I am just learning of your passing. I would not have known because I hadn't heard your singing for a long time. Our records were boxed away, but we just purchased an antique Magnavox stereo. So we put some favorite LPs on and there you were. It brought back memories of the early 50s when I listened and watched you on our TV back then, in Lombard, IL. I sang along with you. If I remember right you were coming out of Chicago either a regular on that program or as a guest performer. What a beautiful voice and charming personality. Lately, I wondered why I hadn't heard of you; so looked online to find you. I found you, but you are now in God's Realm. Sad! I am so saddened that you are no longer with us but you will remain in our memories. Thank you for leaving this musical legacy. My sympathy to your loved ones.

Mr. Vale was a wonderful man, a dear friend to our family, and always treated me as one of his own children. He is forever in our hearts as a beautiful person.

Jerry Vale was one of my favorite Italian crooners growing up. He was more my mom and dad's generation but I loved listening t him when they played his songs. One of my favorite memories was taking my mom and dad to se him perform at the Mill Run Theater in the round playhouse in suburban Chicago when I got out of the service. He put on a great show and I really enjoyed seeing my mom and dad so happy to see him perform. My favorite was Dean Martin but Jerry was right up there with him. Gary Bosco (Dublin, Ohio)

So sorry to hear he had passed almost two years ago and I am just hearing about it. My mom always listened to his music.my deepest sympathy to the family. What made me remember him was while watching the Series "This is Us" I thought I seen him in it tonight.looked just like what I remember him looking like back them.
