John P. Pinette

age 50 years, recently of Springfield, PA and Los Angeles, CA, died suddenly on April 5, 2014. John was born in Malden, Massachusetts. He attended Malden Catholic High School and graduated from University of Massachusetts, Lowell. With his "cherub-like demeanor", John brought his self-deprecating comedy to legions of loyal fans.

John was predeceased by his parents, Robert Pinette, Sr. and Louise (Petrie) Pinette.

He was the much beloved brother of Dorothy Nardella (Guy), Robert Pinette, Jr. (Karen), Kathleen Reinersmann (William). Uncle to Kathryn Welsh (Joseph, III), Kristin Nardella, James Pinette, Allison Caffas (Nicholas), John Reinersmann, and great uncle to Ryan and Amelia Welsh, Godfather to Dylan Schapiro. John brought enormous love and laughter to his family who will miss him sorely.

Visitation: Friends are invited to visit the family Monday, April 14th at St. Mary Magdalen Church from 9:30 to 11:00 am.

Service: The Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00. St. Mary Magdalen Church, 2400 N. Providence Rd, Media, PA 19063.

Private burial.

Visiting here again in late February 2024, feel the need to express how lovely it is to read these tributes and condolences. What joy this precious soul brought to so many people. God took him from us way too soon. Peace and blessings, sweet man. We all miss you so much.

John, I never met you but I worked and was friends with your brother Bob. Rest in piece, and condolences to brother Bob and family.

Although I don't know you personally, you helped me laugh and recover from depression and PTSD. I am a 12 year Navy veteran. I love watching you and your whitty observational humor. People need to laugh at themselves more and say Nay Nay to hatred.

We are so sorry over such a great loss. My late brother-in-law in Massachusetts "introduced" us to Mr. Pinette. We never laughed so hard and so long. Last night big storm came through our area and we lost power - we listened to Mr. Pinette on our cell phone by candlelight! We were howling with laughter. May he rest in peace.

Had never heard of John until recently.... but a funny guy. Courageous too. R.I.P.

I only discovered John recently. He was a delightful and funny creative joy. I am so sorry for your lost.

I saw John on tv as I walked into the living room when I came home from work. It turned out it was the last five minutes of the show and John was not identified since the show was almost over. I don't think I ever laughed harder. I feverishly researched to find out just who was that guy. When I found out I could not get enough of him. His facial expressions, delivery and his stories were just the best. He seemed to be such a kind man and genuine, clean humor is pretty hard to find. My...
