I fell hopelessly in love with The Everly Brothers at age 13 when I first heard their stunning voices in 1957, and I have been quietly enamored of them ever since. Because of the lovely music they made and shared with us..they still manage to make me feel so young. I have always secretly dreaded the thought of them leaving this world, for I couldn't imagine our planet without the beautiful Everlies, and it was with strong sadness that I heard of Philip's death. I've watched the passing of the stars of my youth with some wistfulness, but the death of Philip Everly?..to my surprise I took much more personally. Having pondered that,I believe that they used their gift wisely and well and way beyond!...The amazing sacrifice of their own young years, and the amount of songs that they recorded is a tribute to the gift they have been blessed with and that was entrusted to them. Forgive my long-windedness but I could not let my life go by without saying thankyou ever so fervently..When they came to Australia I was too young to go the their concert...always a regret. My condolences to the family, and R.I.P Philip.

I just don't what to say, everyone has really said some wonderful things. I have a wonderful memory of the Everly Brothers at Cheqers Nightclub in Sydney in 1968, it was a birthday present and I can tell you nothing has surpassed it. That's the night I fell in love with both of them to this day that hasn't changed. My absolute condolences to Mrs patti Everly and your sons and last but definitely not least to Mr Donald Everly the other half of an American Icon. God bless you all

You were my hero, Phil. I learned to sing by listening to you and Don, but most of all you. I sang your parts always and learned to harmonize, then I tried to harmonize your harmony. You were the greatest and I cherish your quote, "Harmony is the greatest love." I knew what you meant, when you harmonize, you make the other singer sound better.

So sorry for your loss... I enjoyed their music and still have their records.. May the fond memories you have of your time together, ease the pain you have in your heart.
