This man was the first name I walked up to at the memorial at ground zero. Each name represented a family member and loved one. I can't imagine the loss.

Just thinking of you Uncle Joey...Looking at old pictures of such happy times.

I was a Brinks Guard on the the day I heard the news of the attack. I was with Brinks for 18 years. Our office advised us that a Brinks truck was involved. We found out that several other Brinks Guards made it to safety. Unfortunately we were advised one of our brothers did not make it out. Words cannot express the gratitude for his service and the great loss of a fellow brother.

I just read about Joe Trombino in Dr. Frederick Zugibe, M.D.'s 2005 book 'Dissecting Death-Secrets of a Medical Examiner'. He begins Chapter 5 telling us about the Brinks robbery and it sadly ends with us finding out about Joe's passing but also about his dedication.
I'm sorry for his family's loss.
He sounded both in that book and on the internet like a great man.
