I remember as a child if I was not in the room with the radio, once I heard that voice saying HI YO SILVER I knew it was time to move to the radio without hesitation.

that voice to me was my alarm clock that the LONE RANGER was on.

Fred will be missed but never forgotten.

Sincere sympathy to the Fred Foy family. In the 1950's on black and white television, The Lone Ranger WAS our youth. These were our role models. And Fred Foy's voice was no small part of it. What a voice! RIP, Fred.

Mr. Foy's family,as a very young girl, I had no idea whose voice I listened to on the radio. I just knew it was part of the show. But, his voice helped make those shows a hit! I thank God a lot for choosing me to be born in the early 40's. Think I've been blessed with having so much less then, but benefiting from it. So grateful to so many whom I never knew their names.

Who, but Fred Foy, could have provided such a stirring and forceful intro for that heroic and iconic hero of "the Old West," The Lone Ranger?! I'm 63, and that rousing introduction to the TV series is just as clear in my mind right now as if I were listening to it on our old B&W TV when I was a kid back in the 1950's. My sincerest condolences to Mr. Foy's family and friends.
