Two years ago, my wife, son and I were at the Pittsburgh Ballet. A couple of rows down from us sat Mr. Rogers and his wife. It was fun because I watched his show has a child living in Seattle in the early 70s. And now here I was, 30 years later, sitting across from him in a Pittsburgh theater. After the ballet concluded, Mr. Rogers walked up the aisle towards the exit and he noticed my son staring up at him. He stopped in front of my son, leaning down a bit, smiling....and said, "Hello. What's your name? How are you doing?" It was the highlight of our evening and I remember thinking that everything I had ever heard about Mr. Rogers was true. He was a true gentleman and a class act who did so much for children.
