Ive known dad for all 11 years of my life. I didn't think it was possible. i loved him all of those years.
Dougie was my next door neighbor growing up in Lewistown, MD. I have many fond memories of playing over at the Angell's house. My Dad, Gary Stitely, my Mom Ilene, and I (Julie Stitely) are very saddened to hear of this news:( Our prayers are with the entire family. God Bless, Julie (Stitely) Stambaugh
Wendy, I was saddened to hear, today at St John's, of yours and your kids' loss. Doug's passing leaves a vacuum of an always cheery man, full of positiveness, full of life. God bless his soul, and you and your children in this time of mourning.
Thinking of you and your family at this sad time. So sorry for your loss.

My wife and I are so shocked to hear about Doug. The world has lost a true, geniune good man. I worked with Doug's Dad for many years when Doug was a teenager. Bob had many funny stories talking about Doug and his growing up years.
I had the pleasure to see Doug grow and mature while in business. You will never find a nicer young man with high standards for ethics and fairness. I called it the "Angell Way". I used to tell Doug the only fault he has was being a Redskin fan!
Doug always had stories about his children that would make you laugh and he was so proud of his wife and how she was the glue in the family.
We pray for all the family and that the happy memories of Doug will lessen the grief and loss.

Wendy, I was deeply saddened to hear of your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
My deepest sympathies to the Angell and Huffer families.
Wendy my prayers are with you and your family at this time.
My deepest sympathy. He was always a sweet kid and grew into a very nice man. I 'ran' into Doug a few times in past years at Imagination Center, and remembered him from our childhood at Lewistown Elementary and Brown's Lane.
Love and Prayers for your hearts to help you heal.
I was just thinking of Doug & his father, Robert, this past weekend. I always enjoyed delivering mail to the shop on East Patrick Street, and at later locations, for printing needs. Doug was a wonderful guy, and will be missed in Frederick. My prayers are with the family.
Uncle Doug had a great impact in my life. He also looked out for me as if I was his own daughter. When I played on Uncle Doug's soccer team he didn't go easy on me, instead he went harder on me. This helped me get better at soccer. He was so loving toward me and my sisters and brothers. He was definitely the most amazing Uncle Doug anyone could have. He will truly be missed! I love you Uncle Doug!!!
Dad, i'll always love you no matter what. You were without question the greatest man i've ever met. I'm honored to call you my dad. You use to always yell at me whenever I did anything wrong, but I always learned from my mistakes because of you. Before I do anything now, I always ask myself what you would tell me. Thank you for all the amazing things you've taught me. I'll always love you, and thank you for teaching me so well.
Doug was a great coach. He brought the best out of each player and made soccer fun! Our prayers goes out to all the family.
Doug was simply one of the best people who ever walked this earth. His kind heart and warm smile always made your day that much better.
Our deepest sympathies to Mr. Angell, Grace, Mike, and of course his wonderful wife Wendy and their four beautiful children.
He'll be forever in our hearts.
I've been working with Doug for more years than I can count and have nothing but the highest regard. Reading these posts, I wish I would have known him more on a personal level. My thoughts and prayers to Doug's family and friends. We cannot fill the void, but we can honor his life.
RIP Doug. You will be so missed. You always brought a smile to all our faces here at JPD whenever you visited our office. You were one of the kindest and most generous people I have ever had the fortune of meeting. Prayers to your entire family and the many friends that you made along the way.

I can not forget that laugh, he always seemed to be able to laugh when schedules got tight in the ICI shop.
Praying for you and your family. God bless.
Doug was my daughter's soccer coach when she started clinic with CCRC. I will never forget the impact he had on her. She was one of the smallest members of the team, but he had a way of reaching her and turned her into a fierce little goalie with two words, "my cookie!" Doug was very giving of his time, great with kids of all ages and one of those individuals that could bring a smile to your face and just made life more pleasant. He will truly be missed.
Coach Doug was a amazing person. I loved going to soccer games just to hear him tell me I can do better. I can only imagine how good of a father and friend he was if he was so open and loving as a coach. He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. My thoughts and prayers go out t his whole family and all the other players he touched.
He was my team leader when I joined the National Guard. He was a great Soldier, leader and will be missed by all of us.
For all the things Doug did for my family, to how he handled my family's kids to seeing how he raised his own children, he was a total class act and will be truly missed. I can't begin to think what Wendy and the Angell children are going through right now. My deepest condolences to all. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Doug was a wonderful neighbor. He always had a smile and was always so considerate of others. This is truly a loss for family and friends. God has taken one of his children home and we take comfort knowing he is with Jesus now and we shall all meet again. Prayers of comfort to his family.
I send the family my deepest sympathy, my son tim and doug were buddies for years growing up and we loved Doug whenever he was with us. You just do not forget someone with his smile and joy, he was like that all the time. I hope your memories sustain you

YOU WILL BE MISSED MY FRIEND PRAYERS TO YOU FAMILY
My best friend and Life Coach. Doug had a handle on life like nobody I have ever known. He has touched my life in the most profound way imaginable. Additionally he was looked up to and dearly loved by my kids. Caroline says she will always remember "hot dog" (her nickname for Doug), and dancing on the ceiling (Doug would hold her upside down and sing that song)! A guy with the strongest sence character, ethics and was always uncompromising on his values. He told me his Heros were John Wayne and Ronald Reagan. He thought about the kind of person he wanted to be most like and strove daily to move towards that goal. You set the bar high Doug. Now YOU are my hero. I have a lot of company in that club. I love you brother.
There is no way to express the loss that we feel. Doug was an amazing man. He really cared about people...the people he served in his business and his friends. He loved his family and always talked about them. He was so proud of his children and loved his wife so much. We will miss him so much. He was the kind of man who really made an impression in this world to all of the people he met. This is a great loss. God bless his family and dear friends. God bless Doug.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort. Doug will truly be missed!

There is a photo in one of my high school yearbooks of Doug and I in class. Another student wrote "Is this a fight?". Far from it. Doug and I were good friends in high school and, although we fell out of touch when I moved out of the area, I have fond memories of him. Doug was a man of kindness and integrity who always had a good word for everyone. He brightened the lives of many and will be missed.
