I'm so deeply sorry to read about Woody. I just found out today 3/25/14. I'm at a lost for words.
I worked with Woody at the White House from about 1986-90. You know something; I never even knew his last name. To all of us he was "Woody." And to all of us he was a true gentleman. That was an elite group of guys he was a part of there in the West Wing, and Woody was the best of them. He had that rare ability to put everyone at ease with his greeting and outstanding, positive attitude. It was an incredibly busy place too but despite all the stressed out types that surrounded him, Woody was an island of calm in a stormy sea. I remember him with great fondness and although I am saddened by his passing, I smile when I remember him, and hope that he will greet me someday in Heaven's West Wing. Woody was a truly a good man.
With sincere sympathy and respect to you and Woody's family,
I am so sorry for your loss and pain. May God give you some serenity - Amen. I am here for you and your family.
Wanda, Natalie and John John
So sorry to hear the news. He was such a warm, caring person that will be missed by many. My father thought of Woody as his brother not just his friend. And I often enjoyed listening to his stories about Woody. We are both blessed to have known and loved Woody.
Haven't seen everybody for so long, but that doesn't mean we haven't thought about you. You always think you have tomorrow to visit a family member or friend, but time slips by before you realize. My heart goes out to all the family, Woody will never be forgotten.
Sending my deepest sympathy to the family. My prayers and thoughts are with you during this time.
My beautiful friend and fellow Fit for my King warrior, I was so saddened to learn of Woody's passing from this life. Please accept my deepest sympathy. You and your family are in my prayers. Love, Annie Isanogle

I worked with Woody in the West Wing when we were officers during the Clinton Administration, back when we still wore the blue blazers. Woody would usually carry at least 2 bags of trinkets and novelty items he acquired during the many mag trips he took. He had a knack for making anyone feel at ease. He always had a smile, a story, or a made up proverb that was pure Woody, and always with a twinkle in his eye. He was a pleasure to work with, extremely well liked, and a man of great integrity. It saddens me that he is gone. My condolences to his family.
Prayers to Woody's family. I grew up on New York Hill with Woody, my brother Garel, the Eshbaugh family, etc. I fondly remember those days and Woody. He was great! Everyone loved Woody. Even though I hadn't seen him in years, I heard about him often. May all your wonderful memories of him bring you comfort.
You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.
Gina. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. I know what you are going through since I just lost Joe on November 30. God Bless You.
May God be with you as you navigate through this challenging time. Woody is at peace with our Lord. He left an amazing legacy for his family and friends while here with us. Simply put...He was a good man.

Woody is gone from us too soon. A gallant man...he has been the greatest example of a life well lived. I pray for constant comfort in your grief with the precious memories and knowledge of his great love for you and the certainty you have of seeing him again. In the wise sentiments of a dear great lady, the depths of the grief of his loss can only be surpassed by the depths of the love he brought to your lives.
Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends. John 15:13 Woody lived that every day. God speed.
May God bring you peace and comfort, and may your faith sustain you in this time of loss.
- Mark & Darby
Genia & Staci, I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Bohrer was such a kind person.
I am saddened to hear of Woody's passing. I spent four years working in the White House Press Office (1997 -2000) and shared many conversations with Woody during that time. It was always a good day when I was working in lower press and he was manning the post just outside of there. Even after I left there and was a part of the Service, it was always good to see him at events. My thoughts and sincerest condolences are with your family at this time. "Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam"... May his soul rest at God's right hand.
Genia, I am so sorry to hear about Woody. My heart is sadden for you. Woody was a great man and wonderful husband. I remember our old days when the kids were little. God will take care of Woody and he will be watching over you and the rest of the family. Words can not express the sorrow I feel for you and the kids.
Words are too inadequate a measure to express our heartfelt sorrow and compassion we feel for you, Woody's beloved wife and family, during this most difficult passing. We who worked several decades with Woody, knew the love and compassion he had to all his friends and colleagues. It was an honor to have known and worked with Woody since President Reagan. My memories of Woody will always be filled with fondness and appreciation as he had the uncanny ability to see humor, joy and positive enthusiasm in everything and everyone he knew.
His charisma and sincerity I will always admire and miss.
God bless Marshall (Woody) Bohrer Jr. and all of the Bohrer Family forever,
There are no words...we are so very sorry for your loss and pray that you and your family find comfort and support in your memories and in each other. Our God never leaves us and He will surely carry you in the difficult days ahead. We send all our love,

To the Bohrer Family,
Please know how sorry I was to learn of Woody's passing. I first worked with him at the Vice-President's residence when Mondale and Bush were Vice-Presidents. He was well respected by all of us who were fortunate to call him a friend. I'll never forget his constant smile and good nature. What a great man and walk in this life he had. May we all be lucky enough to follow his lead.
Dear Genia and Family (Brian, Staci, Crystal):
During your bereavement, Karen and I wish to express our deepest sympathy and extend condolences to each of you and to your extended family.
This is a personal loss for Karen and me; however, we both are grateful for the comraderie, friendship, and good times that we shared with you and Woody over the years. We often talked about our families, their love, and what they meant to each of us.
Woody dealt with whatever happened in his life with a positive attitude and stand-up, straightforward approach. Yet he always wore a beautiful smile and spoke with a pleasant voice.
Woody's accomplishments, achievements, and commitment to the mission of the United States Secret Service represented the five core values of the Secret Service Star and its adage. He stood tall among us as he displayed his belief in justice, duty, courage, honesty, and loyalty. Woody was the finest example of the USSS motto, “Worthy of Trust and Confidence.” And the blue flame will always flicker as a reminder of Woody's dedication and service.
Woody fought the good fight and remained courageous until the very end. There awaits a crown of righteousness in Heaven for him because he kept the faith. He is now in the hands of the greatest protector of all men.
I know that God cares for each of you and will take care of you through each and every day.
Our prayers and thoughts are with each of you, and will continue to be so, in the days, weeks, and months to come. God will never leave or forsake you.
We are so sorry and saddened for the loss of Woody.
He was always so Cheerful and full of smiles...HUGS. Bruce and Kelly Fullenlove

John 14:1-3: "Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father's house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am." ~ Jesus
His room was ready and I can't wait to visit with him some sweet day.
