WE REMEMBER THEM by Rabbi Jack Riemer

At the rising of the sun and at its going down
We remember them.
At the blowing of the wind and the chill of winter
We remember them.
At the opening of the buds and the rebirth of spring
We remember them.
At the blueness of the skies and in the warmth of summer
We remember them.
At the rustling of the leaves and in the beauty of autumn
We remember them.
At the beginning of the year and when it ends
We remember them.
As long as we live, they too will live; for they are now a part of us,
As we remember them.

When we are weary and in need of strength We remember them.
When we are lost and sick at heart We remember them.
When we have joy we crave to share We remember them.
When we have decisions that are difficult to make We remember them.
When we have achievements that are based on theirs We remember them.
As long as we live, they too will live; for they are now a part of us,
As we remember them.

Jewish Blessing of the Mourners
Those who are worn out and crushed by this mourning, let your hearts consider this:
this is the path that has existed from the time of creation and will exist forever.
Many have drunk from it and many will yet drink.
As was the first meal, so shall be the last.
May the master of comfort comfort you.
Blessed are those who comforts the mourners.

Shalom. May the Grace and Mercy of Gods' love bring you comfort during this trying time. Being an Air Force wife, who's husband recently returned from a deployment in Kuwait, I know the pride I feel each time he returns home, knowing he defended our Freedom with honor and without hesitation. Just as Farrell did. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I wish that there was something I could say that would ease your pain. I can only let you know the pain I feel in my heart for you. I am sorry that I never got a chance to personally know Farrell but he will always be in my heart and in my prayers. I will also keep you and your family in my heart and in my prayers. Thank you for raising such a fine young man and a true HERO.

Lifting your family in love and spirit-
our son was friend and barrack neighbor to Farrell at Ft. Sam. Please know how grateful we are for all of his sacrifies, his service and life. Cpl. Gilliam will always be remembered as he was a TRUE HERO and always will be. As Marine parents of a wounded warrior, we mourn with you and will continue to lift you all in prayer.
