Bisher started at the AJC in 1950. I started in 1951 as a photographer. To this day I remember my first asasignment for him. What a guy!

I treasure the evenings we spent with Furman and his beloved wife, Lynda,at their home on the marshes of St. Simons. I will miss him so much and am honored to have had him in my life. He was not only the greatest writer I ever read, he was a great man.

He was a wonderful man who loved his wife and family very much! I saw him March 16th and he told me then that his wife, Lynda, was his Star! My condolences and may God bless the Bisher family.
