Bruce was such a wonderful teacher and loved to share his profound knowledge of Spanish sources--as I found out when I sat in on his Spanish paleography class some years ago. What a loss to you, and the the university community as a whole.

I well remember Bruce and the excellent help he gave through all of the Jaqi materials, such that today we have a superb unique Jaqi collection indeed. Bruce was always more than the librarian, always sharing the passion for the unique of Latin America. He is missed.
