What an extraordinary life! Carole was the epitome of living life to its fullest. She lit up every room she was ever in.

We called her CB when I was a student of hers at University High School in Normal, Illinois. We were lucky kids to have such an amazing teacher in high school. She gave so much time and care to us as we did OLIVER, MACBETH, and THE BOYFRIEND during my senior year (1973). We also won the state speech tournament that year for the second year in a row. I feel so lucky to be able to say that I was one of CB's students. Thank you Carole for giving me the confidence to keep going. I will do my best to teach my theatre kids with the love of life that you had every day.

I have known Carole since I was a freshman at IWU, and kept her friendship thoughout my adult life. I will great miss just hearing her say hello, and catching up. Over 40 years of friendship. A great loss of a great lady. RIP CB!

As Shakespeare wrote, all of the world's a stage. We all have our entrances and our exits. Was sorry to learn of Carole Brandt's final exit. She did so much for the Meadows School of the Arts while serving as Dean at Southern Methodist University. My deepest sympathy goes out to all her family and former students throughout the country. RIP, Carole Brandt.
