Something more to add now that I've read the entire obit...When Cheryl called me to tell me she had met someone special in the choir, I was so glad for her. Thank you Carol Gordon for being with Cheryl the last year of her life...who would have thought the healthiest person I knew to have checked out so quickly and so soon.

Cheryl, thank you for wading in the muck of life to help cut the reeds for the reed boat project at St Marks Wildlife Refuge. Your fearless fight to save the wetlands is noted by the Goddess of Many Names. We will miss you, but know you live in our hearts for eternity. Congratulations on a live well lived!

Fly away Cherlito, our dear pal. Since knowing you on Park Ave. in Tallahassee 1977, then your 1st Gainesvlle house, then Ocala, Leesburg, Dunellon, and back to Gainesville with Hilda, you have lived mightily and shared your divine culinary and friendship gifts with so many. You are the toad whisperer--stroking garden toads under their chins like cats, friend to the Northeastern Beach Tiger Beetle, premier outdoors woman, opera lover, with a house filled with art...O Biscotti Queen, I miss your being in the world...

Cheryl had an important impact on the lives of LGBT students through her financial gifts to JASMYN in Jacksonville. She honored the memory of her dear Hilda by joining her support for students. We are forever grateful and inspired by the lives of these amazing women!
