The tributes to the life of Glenda show that she was wonderful in ALL respects. Her passing is a true lost to the world. We can only strive to be half as good.
Glenda was a very nice person and I really liked her. We used to chat when we saw each other at school. I will miss her.
Gary, Starla, Thomas, and family: My heart is heavy with the passing of a dear friend and colleague. Glenda was a special person and I know you will be blessed by the wonderful memories she's left you with.
Glenda was a beautiful person inside and out. She was always such a joy and inspiration to be around. She had a heart and a smile for everyone and laughter that would fill the room. Glenda you will be greatly missed. Our love to Gary, family and the many friends that she made along this journey!
I'm at a total loss with the passing of my dear, dear friend Glenda. My heart truly goes out to Gary, Starla, Asia, Brian, Teresa, Thomas, and of course Nancy. I hope I haven't forgotten any other close family members, if so, please forgive me. Glenda and I were very close friends in High School and for quite some time afterwards. As all of us do, we grow somewhat apart as life takes us in many other directions. Thankfully though, we seem to find our true friendship once or twice again through the years. I (as well as all of us) have lost one of the most compassionate, giving, and caring individuals I have ever been blessed to have known. I have many stories to share if anyone cares to hear them. Gary, please know I (and the entire Ward family love you dearly and are here if ever we can lend a hand, shoulder, ear, or anything. Don't hesitate to call. My heart goes out to you all. God has certainly gained one heck of an Angel! Lisa Ward-Young

To Mrs.Douglas' family! She was a TRUE good person! I have known her since my grandson, who I help raise, was in kindergarten with Asia. Glenda and I always talked when I was at school, and we loved talking about our grandchildren. I have never met such a genuinely kind, always happy, smart and lovely person. She will be missed dearly, but NEVER forgotten! Love Always, Elizabeth (Lisa) Stanley

My beautiful cousin I can't believe your gone. I will miss you here but will see you there soon!
God be with your family in your time of sorrow.
Glenda was a wonderful woman and a superior child advocate. Her love of children directed her life into becoming a teacher, & in-turn, becoming a completely devoted advocate. In the years I've known her, Glenda never allowed a child to go without food, clothing, or an education. It was a privileged to have her as a co-worker, & it was an honor to have her as a friend.
To the family of Glenda Douglas,
My heartfelt prayers are with you during this time, and in times to come. Glenda was a kind, and caring person and educator. Her husband was very helpful with getting a wonderful area ready for a class garden and with other needs for the classroom and school, which lead to great learning opportunities for many children. Asia was loved by her grandmother who always worked to ensure success in all learning expriences. Remember the great smile and kindness in days to come.
