Rest In Peace Rowdy. You were a good friend and one heck of a ball player (no matter what the sport). My condolences to his family.
Have often thought about him, and did not know he lived so close to me. I surely would have visited him. See ya soon Rodney
Haven't seen Rodney since we'd play basketball on the courts of Plaza Elementary and in the hallways of Kellam High School days in VaBch. ... it is wonderful to read the thoughtful and the positive words in both the messages left and in the obit. Makes me miss him even more even though I haven't seen him since 1974...sincere condolences to his family ...
I knew him since elementary school and Little League. I am proud to have known him and saddened by his passing.

Our deepest condolences to the entire family from the Family of God at the New Moyock United Methodist Church. May Rodney rest in Peace.
Having known many in the security profession throughout the years and I being a person of few positive comments towards a very few must say, Officer Rodney King was a man of rare dedication who held true to his work ethic and never once sherked a job assignment or his duty that came with it. His constant positive attitude was infectious to all that worked with and around him. I say this with all honesty during this sadden time
Didn't know Rodney personally, but did get to play with him in a softball tournament this past weekend. He was a great sportsmanship.
Monica, our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. We will always love and miss Rowdy and his laughter.
Monica,Our hearts are heavy. I know how hard it is for you and the family. We will miss his calls and his stories. He never met a stranger and was blessed to have you for all these years.
My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. May you find comfort in all of your wonderful memories together. May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
Memories are precious
when they're made
with those we love.
If love alone could have saved you
you never would have died.
May the winds of love blow softly
And whisper so you'll hear,
We will always love and miss you
And wish that you were here.
Memories are precious when they're made
with those we love and those we respect. He was a friend to everyone he met and treated everyone with kindness and respect. He always had positive things to say and had a knack to making everyone laugh.
If love alone could have saved him he never would have died. May the winds of love blow softly and whisper to him our thoughts and feeling so he will hear.
We will always love and miss him and wish that he was here. Really gonna miss you Buddy.
Monica, you and your faimily are in my thoughts and prayers. You have my deepest sympathies.
