She was not my teacher at WJHS, but I remember her, when I attended there, as a well-liked and enthusiastic teacher. My son attended Rawlings K-1 when she was principal and I became reacquainted with her. We had many talks and I greatly enjoyed each one. She was certainly proud of her sons. I had previously mostly thought of her as "Mike's mother," but I got to know her a little as a friend and fellow educator. The school was well-led with many highly motivated, structured programs. When I started my full internship I chose her school where I interned in fifth grade. She made me feel comfortable and at home, yet she was always a highly professional educator. She was much respected by her teachers. She will surely be missed by her family and friends.
