Ginette, I'm truly sorry to hear of Jimmy's passing. I cherish the experiences I had playing 2nd trombone in the OSO ('68-'97) under his expressive baton. I sent him a letter commending him on transforming the OSO form a "regional" orchestra to major status without making massive personnel changes as many other new conductors do in the early years of their tenure. He was truly a "gentleman and a scholar". May your family gain solace from the memories of the contributions that Jimmy has made to enrich the lives of all who knew him and heard him speak or conduct.
