From shy, quiet 7th grader at Buchholz Jr. High School to a confident, somewhat talented trombonist who grew to develop a lifetime of love for all things musical, I have Mr. Frye (along with Mrs. Dorothy Reaves) to thank. His knowledge and love of popular music, and her love of the classics, gave me a foundation for culture that I have never forgotten. Surely, with Mr. Frye's arrival at heaven's orchestral rehearsal hall, Heaven's orchestra has kicked it up a notch. Mr. Frye, all I can do is repeat what you told us before ever single concert (with your back to the audience, of course), "go get 'em". Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Frye family. You've lost a jewel indeed.
