So long, Walt..... until we meet again! I am honored to be your friend; I will try to embrace your legacy as a gentleman.... fair winds and following seas!

Walt was such a wonderful man. An avid Amateur Radio Operator who loved to see others enjoying the hobby. His influence in founding the Gainesville Amateur Radio Society has had a profound impact on Gainesville and one could insist Alachua County as a whole. His kind heart and gentle mentoring along with his keen mind and quick wit will be sorely missed. My condolences to his family as I am certain that they will miss him even more than his dear friends in GARS. Rest well Walt, thank you for all you have done, I will miss you.

I cannot think of anyone more kind and giving than Walt, not only when it came to ham radio or electronics but just willing to help anyone in need. Walt was one of my very dear friends for the past 44 years and I will miss him. RIP my very dear friend.

Walt was one of the kindest giving people I have ever met. He was always available to help when asked. A great experimenter with antennas and other aspects of Ham Radio.
