Jeannine left us too soon. I feel she had a lot more years to offer for all she has done for so many people. It'll take me a while to realize she's gone. I will miss her tremendously.

My name is Douglas D. Palmer. I live in Draper, Utah, a suburb of Salt Lake City where I worked as a reporter at the Deseret News. I was informed of Jeannine's passing yesterday by a fellow reporter, Lynn Arave. I retired 12 years ago from the newspaper, and I regret that I have not kept in touch with Jeannine. She was a good friend of Lynn and I and many other people at the paper. Jeannine was a very sweet, wonderful person. Among many other things, she and Lynn attended a missionary farewell for my wife and I before we were leaving for a one-year mission in New Mexico. If someone would communicate with me by e-mail, [email protected] or phone, 801-571-6239, I would appreciate it in terms of bringing me up to date on her activities and the illness that resulted in her passing. In the meantime, I would like to send my sincere condolences to her husband, Derek, to her parents and other relatives. May the Lord comfort and bless you and watch over you. Sincerely, Douglas D. Palmer

As friends of her mother's, the entire family is in our hearts and prayers. It is so very hard to lose a child, it is not the natural order. But we have to trust in God's order. Love and blessing to you all.
