Gainesville - Lillie Bell Childs Ford, age 94, wife of the late Lee Ford, Sr.& Member of First Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, fought a good fight, passed the test and on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at her residence unexpectedly, but peacefully, surrendered to our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
The Homegoing Celebration will be held 10:30AM Saturday, June 28, 2014, at the Female Protective Society Temple (Gainesville, FL) with her Pastor, Rev. Jerome Lennon, officiating. Burial will follow at the Rutledge Community Cemetery. Mrs. Ford will be viewed at the Funeral Home on Friday 2:00-7:00PM - At the Temple on Saturday 30 Minutes prior to the Services - And with the Processional. The Procession will form at Mrs. Ford's residence, 29 NW 53rd Terrace, Gainesville, at 9:30AM.
Dear Memories will be left with daughters - Alberta Jones (& Brady - Deceased), Fannie Ford, Hailey P. Johnson, Mary Wheeler (& Leon), Sally Ann Danzy, Alvera Welch (& Ernest) and Cheryl Welch (& Lucious) of Gainesville, FL, Teresa Hill (& Kenneth - deceased) of Brooker, FL; sons - Handy Ford of Gainesville, FL and William Ford, Sr. (& Tayka) of Jacksonville, FL; daughter-in-law - Sherry Ford of Gainesville, FL; (Nancy Ford, Lee Ford Jr., Thomas Ford, Sandy Ford, Kelly Ford Sr., Roosevelt Ford Sr., and her baby boy - Michael Ford Sr. preceded her in death); grands (4 of which she raised - Michael Ford Jr., Handy Ford Jr., Destiny Ford and Crystal McKennon); Godson - Earl Williams of Gainesville, FL; great grands; great-great grands; nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.
