WADE, PATRICIA ANNE
Patricia Anne Wade, age 46, of Starke, Florida passed away March 20, 2012 at Shands Hospital at University of Florida, Gainesville, after a brief illness. She was born in Spokane, Washington and resided with her family in Starke, Florida. Patricia was one of the nicest, caring and most loving people you could meet and was known for her complete selflessness, always willing to lend a hand to others. She was considered a friend by all who knew her and had a smile that would light up a room. She always had time to listen and was known as "mom" to many.
A master sergeant with the 315th Airlift Wing (Reserves) at Charleston Air Force Base, she had served her first eight years on active duty and then decided to continue her career as a reservist for twelve more years. Her entire military career was as an Air Transportation Specialist and was stationed around the globe, including New Jersey, Germany, and Korea. She deployed with the 38th Aerial Port Squadron, 315th AW, to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2008. Throughout her service to her country, she was a mentor, a teacher and a leader.
Patricia had a real zest for life and her family meant everything to her. She is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Brince D. Wade of Starke, FL; her children, Caitlin C. Wade and Brince M. Wade of Starke, FL; and her stepfather, Jack Sombrio of Phoenix, AZ.
