I am completely at loss for words! Coach Shadburn was my position coach 1970-74. Coach made practice fun. I will miss him dearly! The last time we were all together was at Coach Niblacks' dedication at Citezens Field! We talked of the good old days, and they were indeed good! R.I.P Coach!

Always one of the kindest people I knew, he made an effort to reconnect with all his old buddies from high school, and stay in touch. There is a big empty place in this world without him. All my love to his family.

Randy made this world a better place - always smiling. So few of us can say we made a difference. Randy touched so many lives. You will be missed.

He was my coach, my teacher and my friend.
Among other things, he helped me get over my shyness and taught me the value of good sportsmanship.
He taught by example, lessons for life not just ones to pass a ckass or an exam.
Some of my best memories from Howards Bishop Middle, or from school period, were in his class and in his company.
I still proudly have my old yearbook with his signature and kind words.
Thank you, Coach, and bless you.

Rufus Heath (MA 90) HBMS class of 79.

My sincere condolences to Randy's family and to everyone who loved him and held him dear. When I worked with Randy at Kanapaha Middle School, he was always supportive & encouraging. As the Dean, he didn't need to rely on "carrying a big stick" because he had such a big, kind heart.

My sympathy goes out to the family. Mr. Shadburn was a wonderful co-worker. My son had just asked about him on last Friday. He as well as many other students at Professional Academies Magnet at Loften were very fond of Dean Shadburn. He will be missed.
