I had the pleasure of meeting Stan and his wife at Musial and Biggies Restaurant in St. Louis in December of 1972. My card club was holding our Christmas party that night and I spied the Musials at a table in the corner. I walked over and introduced myself and asked for an autograph. With a smile, Stan the Man whipped out a picture and signed it for my son Brad. What a thrill. He was so kind and such a gentleman. Basebasll has lost a true giant. My sympathies to the Musial family. Your treasured memories of this remarkable man will sustain you.
