Xoxo Dad... I miss your letters and words of wisdom so much. It's still unbelievable to me that you're gone. I had a problem with my car this week and went to call you then realized you weren't there. I had to think "what would dad say to do"... All those treats of advice have stuck with me. I luv u.

Walt was one of the many "Stand Up" guys that served when asked in a unit the I was proud to be a part of, the 240th AHC, Greyhounds, Maddogs, and Kennel Keepers. Thanks for your service. Respectfully, GH23

Walt, it seems like a bad dream signing this memorial guest book and having to cone to the realization that God called you home. You were a TRUE BROTHER in Vietnam and remained that way all through your life after the war. I will carry on and keep the 240th AHC reunions, websites and Bearcat Bulletin going as long as I am around. Cecelia and I will never forget you, Brother Walt, I can hear you voice in my mind right now and wish I could pick up the phone and call you. We will remember you in Branson this October when the 240th has its 2012 reunion, as well as the other 240th Brothers of our Flight that you are now reunited with. You were and always will be someone that I loved, Walt, and having you as a 240th Brother/Friend has inspired me to be a better person in life and to others and not get caught up in the pettiness and politics some people like to dwell on. Your saying, "Once a 240th Brother, always a 240th Brother...for life" will be displayed prominently at the reunion with credit given to you. I miss you, Walt, I really do.
