To the Carter Family,
My condolences for your loss. Gary Carter was a role model in the best sense of those words. His infectious spirit, drive, dedication to achievement and hard work are qualities all young people should follow.

Gary Carter was my favorite baseball player. My husband stood in line for a very long time to get an autographed lifesize poster of him for me. That was when he was still playing for the Expos and I still have it. It was good tosee that he played the baseball for the live of the game and not just for the money. His boyish smile and his natural talent will be always remembered by his fans. R.I.P. Gary we will miss you.
