Allen Costner Obituary

BESSEMER CITY - Allen "Dee" Costner, 69, passed away on June 17, 2017, at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.

He was born Dec. 14, 1947, in Lincoln County, son of the late Grier Wayne Costner and Elizabeth Fowler Costner.

A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Sparrow Springs Baptist Church, 6147 Lewis Road, Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Gene Bates.

Mr. Costner is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Costner; son, Allen "Bubba" Costner Jr.; daughters, Tammy Begley, Charlene Costner, Laura Campbell, Allina Edwards, Samantha Costner; brothers, Grier "Gittle" Costner, Randy Costner, John Costner; sisters, Ewayne Blankenship, Eraine "Midge" Cooper, Elaine Wilson; 14 grandchildren; 12 great- grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by daughter, Michelle Costner; brother, Dale Wayne Costner.

I just can't believe your gone...I have great memories of us all as children right up to being grown.. those good memories is what I will hold on to until we meet again..family is everything and I am so grateful to be your cousin..I'm gonna miss you!! Just can't believe today is the last day i will ever get to see my daddy's face in person and get to hug him and kiss him on his forehead .. all ive got now is memories and pictures .
