MOUNT HOLLY - Donald Lee "Don" Ensley, 82, died Nov. 16, 2012, at the Stanley Total Living Center. He was born in Cramerton, son of the late James Orie and Elva Rose Austin Ensley.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Nadine Sisk and Colleen Mills; and a brother, Bergan Ensley. He was owner of Don's Garage in Mount Holly for more than 45 years and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, fisherman and mechanic.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Jean Hood Ensley; a son, Ron Ensley and wife, Karen, of Stanley; three daughters, Debbie Fraley and husband, Jim, of Mount Holly, Pat Howard and husband, Steve, of Mount Holly, Donna Farris and husband, Ken, of High Shoals; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral, conducted by Chaplain Ivan Davis, will be 2 p.m. Monday at the First Presbyterian Church in Stanley. The family will receive friends after the service in the Founders Hall until 4 p.m. Interment will follow in Pineview Cemetery in Mount Holly. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
