STANLEY - Faye S. Branch passed away June 3, 2010, at Stanley Total Living Center surrounded by her children.
Faye was born in Gaston County on Oct. 5, 1929. She was a homemaker and wife.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy J. (Bud) Branch; parents, Jesse and Parvell Shives; and two brothers, Jack Shives and Robert Shives.
Ms. Branch loved her family and her grandchildren dearly.
She is survived by four children, Judy Bates and husband, Joe, Buddy Branch and wife, Lisa, Tim Branch, Anita McCall and husband, Chuck; sister, Dolly Jenkins and husband, Charles; brother, Marvin Shives and wife, Onetta; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday at Carothers Funeral Home Chapel in Stanley.
Interment will be at Hillcrest Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
The family would like to thank the nurses and CNA's who assisted in the care of Mom during her last days at Stanley Total Living Center.
Ms. Branch was very loved and will be greatly missed but the family knows she is with the Lord, and is reunited with her loved ones and especially her other half, Bud.

I am so sorry I did not get to the service for Faye Saturday. I had known her for many years and she was always a sweet and loving person. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Judy,Buddy,Tim,and Anita sorry to hear about your mom's passing. She was a very quiet well loved person in the neighborhood for as long as I knew her,about 50 yrs.,but like you say we know she is with God already and no more pain,sickness,or worries.
