MOUNT HOLLY - James Dalbert "J.D." Pressley, 77, died Jan. 27, 2013, at Kindred Care and Rehab in Gas-tonia.
He was a retired automotive radiator mechanic and was preceded in death by his parents, James Henry and Catherine Helms Pressley; his wife Donrea Shipton Pressley; two brothers, Norman and Morris Pressley, and two sisters, Donna Auten and Mary Waters.
Survivors include three daughters, Wanda Barnes of Mount Holly, Debra P. Guida and husband Nick of Stanley, Audrey H. Smith and husband Jerry of Supply, N.C.; a son, Jimmie O. Hill and wife Paula of Lexington; grandchildren, Ashley, Dominick, Anthony, Michelle, Lisa, Kenny, Joy, Daniel, and Jennifer; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Weston Pressley and wife Peggy of Iron Station; and a sister, Levado Porter and hus-band Carl of Taylorsville.
The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Levado, I just heard about the passing of JD. I am so sorry. I will always remember him as children when we went to church together and your mom teaching my Sunday School class. May God be with you and the whole family during the days ahead.
