James Robert Stancil, 76, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Aug. 31, 2018.
Born in Gaston County, he was preceded in death by his parents, Preston and Lee Ola Stancil; and three sisters, Frances Elrod, Dorothy Hill, and Melba Cranford.
He is survived by three brothers, Jim Stancil and wife Mary, Mike Stancil and Steve Stancil and wife Alice, all of Mount Holly, and numerous nieces, great nieces, nephews and great nephews. He was never married and had no children.
There will be a private memorial service for the family.
