We were dealing with the death of my brother, when I learnedd about the passing of Dr. Capps. He was a wonderful person, he treated my mother while she was living with us before she passed from breast cancer.My prayers and blessings go out too all his family.. Mary Caudle of Dallas Nc..

I just learned of John's passing. To say my heart is grieving is an understatement. John was a wonderful man, so talented and intelligent. To his kids, all my love to you. To James, I just don't have words give you. Please know that the entire family is in my heart and prayers.

Dr.Capps was my Dr. for several years & my mothers a long time in Gastonia he was so dedicated to the elderly & how people treated them or mis-treated them,That he didn't tolerate.I will never forget the love and compassion he showed my mom as if she were his only patient.I'm so sorry for your loss, I also just lost my sister which was his patient too! my thoughts & prayers are with you.I know only God can comfort your hearts ,if we just draw nigh to him.Dr. Capps Thank-You You will be missed by many people. I am so sorry to hear of the passing of this kind and generous man. I worked for Dr. Capps in the late 90"s and he was an amazing doctor and person to work for. He kept us laughing with his quick wit and would do anything for his employees with the greatest of humility. I have numerous drawings of my children that he drew and a coffee cup he made with his picture that says " I need my coffee, I have to work with Dr. Capps". I am heartbroken knowing he is not in this world. He was one of a kind.

We are all blessed to have known John. He was a brilliant doctor, colleague, mentor and a great friend. He exemplified life long learning. I always admired his love for reading, music, art and trivia. He helped me complete my advanced degrees and for that I am eternally grateful.

There will always be a special place in my prayers for John and his family.

Thanks John, I will miss you dearly.

I was so shocked to hear of the passing of Dr.Capps. He was such a sweet compassionate person. He has been my doctor for 3 years and I trully loved his kind heart. I will always remember him and forever thank him for helping me to lose excess weight through his guidance. Thank you sweet Dr Capps! RIP
