Not sure what to say?

Your family continues to be in our thoughts and prayers as you adjust to your new norm. Jim was well-loved and will be missed by us, as well as the rest of his classmates from the Appalachian High School Class of 1952.

"Well done thy good and faithful servant, enter into the glory of the Lord"

My mother (her maiden name was Mary Jane Shore) went to school with your dad and his sister when they were in elementary school. I wish I had more details about it, I mainly recall my mama telling us, after your dad was elected as governor, that she'd gone to school with him. I remember her talking about them all walking to school together. It really made me proud that MY mama went to school with and knew our governor! Ginny, I think of you often and our days at Spruill Bldg. Your Mom and Dad are together again and waiting for the rest of us.

Take care, love and prayers to you and your family,

Barbara Gardner

Miss Ginny,
Through my cousin, Janice Byerly Whitaker, my sister Cindy and I were afforded opportunities to work as Pages with the House of Representatives during your father's term. It was a great experience and meeting your father was a great honor. May your memories keep you warm and make you smile. Dawn M Mabe High Point

Ginny, I had the wonderful opportunity to work in your Dad's office when he was Governor. He was a warm and gentle man. He knew when to work and he did an outstanding job as our Governor. Mike and I will always remember what a great friend he was as well. You are in my prayers.

Ginny, I worked in your Dad's office when he was Governor of our State. He was one of a kind and I say that with much love. He knew when to work and when to play. He was an outstanding boss. I was and am proud to say I knew him and even had the wonderful opportunity to work with him. Mike and I were so thrilled to be a part of that wonderful era. You had a wonderful dad and mom Ginny. You are in my prayers.

Prayers are sent to the family during this difficult time. 1 Thessalonians 5:11
