I am deeply sorry for your loss. PFC Balcon gave his life with unwavering bravery and courage. He was truly a person of valor, devoted to the safety and defense of those he loved and cared for. May the Lord bless you and keep you, now and always.

Mr. and Mrs Sizer,

I'm so sorry to hear about the death of your son. I cannot imagine the pain you must feel and I know that nothing I say here will make much of a difference. But for what it's worth, I respect your son for his dedication to our great country, and for making the ultimate sacrifice to defend it. I hope to be able to serve as honorably when I graduate in 3 years.

To Capt Sizer,
I did not know Dane, but knowing that he has followed your footsteps tells me that he was an amazing man. I'm sure that he had your kindness, strength, enthusiasm, and dedication. I wish i could have met him. God will watch over him, and Dane will watch over you.

My deepest condolences.

Mr& Mrs Sizer
I am sure you will both hear and read this many times but I feel it rings a special bell in the hearts of all Americans, what your son did, in serving his country, is a sacrifice many today would never be willing to take. The pain of losing a loved one is not something that can be honored away but I can't help but say how thankful I am for any man or woman that is willing to put their life on the line so others don’t have to. Just be comforted in knowing that, wherever he is, he’s no longer hot, nor tired, nor in pain, but rather in a place where no bad will ever be. He is safe now. God bless.

Mr. and Mrs. Sizer,

I am truly sorry about the loss of your son. Valiant men like your son inspire myself and my classmates here at USAFA to follow his example of service to our country. Please accept my sincere condolences.

I am sorry for your loss. The price of freedom and liberty is high. I am greatful for your son's sacrifice and appreciate what he has helped preserve. As a USAFA cadet and future airman, I will do all I can to ensure that your son did not die in vane.

Sincerely,

From my family, who has a Marine in Iraq as we speak, I wish your family our deepest condolences. Every loss is felt like a ripple through all the services, affecting more people than you may ever know. We are all here to support you though. Our love and prayers are with you.
