To Capt Sizer,
I did not know Dane, but knowing that he has followed your footsteps tells me that he was an amazing man. I'm sure that he had your kindness, strength, enthusiasm, and dedication. I wish i could have met him. God will watch over him, and Dane will watch over you.

My deepest condolences.

Mr. and Mrs. Sizer,

I am truly sorry about the loss of your son. Valiant men like your son inspire myself and my classmates here at USAFA to follow his example of service to our country. Please accept my sincere condolences.

I am sorry for your loss. The price of freedom and liberty is high. I am greatful for your son's sacrifice and appreciate what he has helped preserve. As a USAFA cadet and future airman, I will do all I can to ensure that your son did not die in vane.
