May the love of the Lord be with you, now and always. With faith anything is possible. Thank you for serving the country, my family and me; know that I would give my gift of sacrifice for the people under the U.S. flag and your family when the Lord calls me, just like your brave son.

Capt Sizer,
Pfc. Balcon is a real hero and all of us here at the academy feel deeply for your loss, but I hope you can take comfort in the knowledge that your son is a role model for the rest of us.

Mr. and Mrs. Sizer,
I cried when I heard the news about Dane's untimely death. I remember going to class holding back tears. I never met Dane, but all the stories Capt. Sizer told us in Mgt. class somehow made me feel like he would have been a great friend. The world has truly lost a wonderful man, but heaven has gained a magnificent soul. I feel upset I never got to meet Dane, but I know from his mom that he enjoyed life and had many friends and family members that loved him. He will not be forgotten.

I would like to offer my deepest condolence to you and your family. The United States lost a true hero, one that the world will truly miss. From the academy to you, we want to thank you for the service your son gave his country, and that he will be remembered for the hero he truly was.

I am sorry for your loss. I never knew Dane but he died for a greater cause. It is tough right now but without soldiers like him we would not be living in a free country.

Dane, thank you for serving your country. I pray that your loved ones will be healed and that you will never be forgotten.

I never had the pleasure of meeting you or your family but from the overwhelming response of the cadet wing it's obviuous your son was a beloved brother in arms. I'm not much for words but it will be an honor to serve in the same military with brave soldiers who want to defend our nations freedom, like your son Dane.

I am sorry for your loss. God bless him and all the others who have fought and died for our freedom.
