I always remember Donna always had a smile on her face. Especially when seeing her after a while. And as I recall when Drexel might say something questionable she would give him one of "those questionable(?) looks. Always a pleasant lady.

I always remember when Donna and my wife Irene would get together, the loving expression and smiles they had on their faces along with the joy in their laughter was unforgettable. It was like that for the whole time when they were together.

Drexel and I were very lucky.

Love and will never forget you.

Still missing you mom... Time does soften the pain but the hole in your heart is there forever. I remain grateful to God for giving me a mom with a loving and caring spirit. I remain grateful for the memories I have. I remain grateful that I feel your presence from time to time and it warms my heart. But I do miss you.

Mamie, Thank you for creating the miracle that is my mother- and thank you for raising her to know how to love and nurture her children. Thank you for being my greatest example in thriving as a Military spouse and showing me that to grow "old" simply gains you more time to enjoy your life! You were a guide to me in your earthly existence and now you are my guide in your spiritual life, bringing me closer to the Universe, to God, to happiness. In a dream I had after your passing, you told me I would love the gift you left for me, a week later I found out I was pregnant, and you're right, I do love her. Every time she smiles and giggles, I remember the dream, remember your hugs, remember your scent, remember your hand on mine. I also remember that you prayed for me daily and I know that God smiled upon you because he's protected and blessed me at every turn in my life- no matter how dark the path may be. You set the standard for the women in our family to be strong and successful in their endeavors- depending on no one but ourselves and of course our family. I am proud to carry on your legacy of fortitude, spiritual connectedness, inner and outer beauty and independence. I promise to pass this on to my girls as it was passed from my mother to me and to her from you. There is no living without you, and God allows us to connect regularly so I don't have to. Bless our family, me and my little family, and bless your eternal existence. I love you, my Pawpaw, my mommy and my aunties. Thank you for always being an inspiration.

Mom, words can't even begin to express how much I miss you! I can still hear your voice and laugh in my mind. I try to hang onto it. I still sometimes think to myself, I need to call mom, and just as quickly realize your gone. I think of you everyday and cling to all the wonderful memories that I have to keep you "alive" in my heart.
