Dane Balcon

My family and I offer our condolences to your family. I met Dane at Discovery Church through my son a few yrs ago. I recall when I was introduced to Dane my son mentioned that Dane wanted to join the military. He was obviously blessed with great examples in his life if this was his dream.

He's now a soldier in God's Army!

Dane was a great guy im going to miss him alot. I first met dane at Fort Hood. Dane got to Iraq a week before me so when i got here he showed me all around. I was with him on sept 5th brfore we rolled out we were joking with each other this was are first misson together so we were excited to get to work together finally after knowing each for about 4 months. If there was anyone in the army i wanted to go out on a mission with it was Dane he was by far the most high speed person in the army.To danes family im truely sorry for your loss. R.I.P. PFC Dane Balcon you were loved by everyone that has ever met you Im sorry i had to be there at the end but im happy i met you and Dane you have changed my life thank you.

To the family of Dane Balcon. My name is Reyna and I was on the Drumline with your son. Ever since we met Dane it was always about the military. He loved fighting for us. For his country and he left a lasting mark on everyone he met. He was the kind of guy who could make anyone smile. Put anyone in a good mood. He just loved to have fun. I am extremely sorry for your loss and i want to let you know you have full support of all his friends with anything you need. thanks for raining a beautiful, and wonderful son. He will always be remebered and loved for everything he did.

To the family who raised this young remarkable young man I send my most heart-felt condolences. PFC Balcon had so much to give and I know the world would be a much better place if everyone had the same motivation, desire, and spontaneity that your son possessed. I had the fortunate opportunity to spend some time with Dane and just know that your son died for what he truly believed in. He could have easily remained in a non-combat environment but to Dane this was worst than death itself. I believe Dane had a mission as he told me there is a long legacy of combat tested vets in the Balcon Family and he wanted to prove that he too belonged on that wall of courage. I will miss PFC Dane Balcon, extraordinary soldier! examplarary human being.
