Just got the news and find it hard to believe.

You will be missed grandad!
January 5, 2014
L D. I was the rookie at the breakfast table with Henry at Evans Army Hospital dining facility. You treated me with respect even though I was retired Air Force, watched Fox news, and voted for Bush. I'll always be grateful for that. Breakfast will never be the same now that you're gone. You'll be missed by all who you touched every morning. You had a heart of gold, and spoke of your children affectionally. I never once heard a foul word from you about anyone. However, when you spoke, people listened. God put you in the path of many for a reason. May you rest in peace, and watch over all loved and admired you.

There are not enough words. He was a big man with a big heart. No family function was complete without him. Going to the park and laughing, eating, playing and enjoying being together as a family. Having breakfast and eating his delicious salmon patties. Driving around in the "murder wagon" on hot summer days. Watching him take pictures of all his grandkids and kids. Teaching everyone the meaning of life and what is wrong and right in the world. I know I was not there to say good bye, but he will always be a part of my memory. Rest in Peace L.D., Rest in Peace. You will be missed.??
