Ajax was my math teacher at Tech High -- and what a great teacher he was. He was a gentle man and a gentleman. My sincerest condolences to the Jackowski family.

I knew Mr. Jackowski ("call me Ajax!" he would always say) for a number of years as first his wife's and then his visiting nurse. What struck me initially was what a devoted and loving caregiver he was. Later I saw him for his own medical needs. He valued his independence and cared deeply for his children and grandchildren, often telling stories and alwasys with a sparkle in his eye. He was a very kind and special man and I feel privileged to have had the chance to know and work with him.
