My Father and Mother were married for 66 years and were very devoted to each other. My Mother was the love of my Father's life. He said to me once, "I don't go anywhere without my wife," when I asked him if he wanted to stay with me for a while. He worked so hard all his life with only one purpose in mind. To take care of his family. In his forties, he not only worked full-time but went to college nights to earn an engineering degree, and did this while supporting a family of seven. He was a true hero in my eyes and I told him so during his final days. He did not complain nor expect or ask for help from anyone. And he took his wedding vows seriously. He was of excellent character and everyone who knew him said the same. He was a great father and never stopped giving and helping his children. He gave them unconditional love. He was there for them always. The last thing my father said to me was, I love you Richard. And I said I love you too dad. There was no better man than my father. I owe my success in life as a father and devoted family man to my father and his teachings. And to my mother who taught me how to love and be kind. I learned my work ethic from my parents and how important family was. I learned to love God and how important it was to be a good man and to treat others with respect and kindness as my father and mother did. For these qualities I saw in them and have sought all my life to be just like them. There were no more honest man than my father and no more honest woman than my mother. We children were so lucky to have such devoted loving parents. I will miss them so much. And I will spend the remainder of my life trying to follow their example. I love you Dad. I love you Mom.
Please consider this a guest book for my dear mother, as well, until I can arrange a guest book for her as well. I was not aware of this at the time of her passing as things were so hectic for me at the time as well as so unexpected.
I miss my mother dearly. She loved her children so much and it was felt everytime she was near. I will always cherish memories of my mother.
My cousin, "Dick" was married to my beloved cousin Stella and they were a very loving couple. Stella was the love of his life and I ask God to keep them full of their love for each other and msy some of their love filter on down to their children. Love, Dolores
