Janet was one of my good friends growing up in East Walpole MA, especially in junior high school. We giggled our way through 7th grade, and got kept after school quite a few times for uncontrollable silliness in class. Janet was so fun to be with, memories of those days with her make me smile. She was a character with a wonderful sense of humor. Wishing now especially that we had kept in touch as adults...and feeling so sad now for her whole family and community.

To the Mrs.Bloom's family,
I want to say, "Thank you, Mrs. Bloom!" Mrs. Bloom was very excellent Reading teacher! One day my class had a difficult assignment to read an old classic story that we couldn't understand what it talked about. Next day Mrs. Bloom taught us how to understand a story and asked us to reread several times. Finally we understood it. Also, she knew a lot of books when she was a young book. If anyone couldn't find a book what she/he like to read, Mrs. Bloom could help her/him find a good book. She was very amazing lady!

Heartfelt sympathy, condolences, and prayers to Janet's family and all who have known her. She was a wonderful, contributing member of the University Women's Book Club and will be deeply missed by us all.

Mrs. Bloom was our reading teacher at Clarke during the school year 1979-80. We were the senior class and I was 15. She was such a vibrant, radiant, and intelligent teacher who managed to inspire us to reading classics. I remember being inspired by one particular book that I chose to write a book report about it. I even managed to obtain a photo from the academy mentioned in the book that I proudly displayed during Clarke's book week event. Then, I gave the framed photo to Mrs. Bloom as a keepsake. It was not until 2009 that I finally saw her at Clarke. Just like in 1980, she was exactly the same person I knew and loved. She will be greatly missed by me and everyone. My deepest condolence goes out to Mr. Bloom, her two sons and to her extended families.
